Eddie Sanchez: We're going to stand on our feet and bang   [View Full Version]
MMAcca » Posted 4/30/07 3:11:00PM

Eddie Sanchez (8-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) gets it.

The 26-year-old may not be at the top of the heavyweight ladder. But as Sanchez recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), he knows what it takes to make it in the UFC.

"I always feel every fight is a must-win situation for me, especially being in the top fighting organization in the world," Sanchez said." Either you've got to be well-liked by the fans, you've got to put on a superb show, or you've got to win and put on a superb show."

Sanchez is one of the only people that could stand and bang and it be like someone do lay and pray (Sanchez vs Sao Paliela)

I think Dana wanted to have #1 of every category so he made this fight do be the #1 most boring fight ever both standing and on the ground.

not so sure on that one, sanchez has an underrated sprawl and i think if mccully lnp's like he did against hardonk, the ref will stand it up since mccully dosnt go to pass or gnp, it will be stood up at every opportunity imo if it indeed goes to the ground, eddie will probably be working the scramble for this one

sanchez is sorley mistaken if he thinks this fight will remain standing. I see McCully taking it to the mat and getting an early sub. If not he will out work Sanchez and get the UD. Sanchez's cardio is in ? as well as McCully's but...he has Stankie in his corner. He might actually come into this fight in shape. WAR McCully...........especially at +225. Putting the other half of my money after the parlay on McCully.

Unless he's had some prior conversation with McCully about keeping the fight standing...I think he'll be in for a surprise. They're both very much one-dimensional fighters at this point, and typically I'm going to go with the wrestler.
