Why would the UFC call Hidehiko Yoshida out?   [View Full Version]

probably because he is a huge name in japan, he's a legend over there, one of their most popular athletes.

Yeah, Yoshida is probably behind only Sakuraba and Takada when it comes to Japanese MMA. He'd be a big draw in Japan, just like Bisping in England and GSP in Canada.

Hidehiko Yoshida is a legend and is a challenge for any LHW in the world. He would be a great addition to the UFC.

Yep, Yoshida is a LHW not a HW, and he's a tough SOB who can get anyone on the ground. Huuuuuuge draw in Japan easily sells more tickets there then the UFC can sell here with anyone.
