James Lee, Also a Michigan guy lost badly against a so so fighter in his last match- Is the UFC using him as a stepping stone for Tim or are they just putting to fighters with big questionmarks in the ring and deciding if 1 of them are worth keeping around?

i think im going with the second thing you said. But i am going with james lee for the win and betting on him.

Here's the thing, Lee blew his back in the Sakara fight on the first takedown attempt and obviously couldnt recover, he was basically fed Sakara as a warmup fight, but fighting Boetsch will test where he really stacks up and also where Boetsch is after going to the worst place to fight, in high altitude.

As of now I have Boetsch grinding out a split decision.

Boetsch via Barbarian toss.

But yeah it's a good matchup. Lee could get a submission off his back, but I'm not sure this one makes it to the ground.

I thought he easily won the first round of that fight. He put a hole through Matt's face. I think 75% of guys go down after the punishment Matt took. Of course, I think it was relatively short notice and Boestch gassed early in the second and his body gave out.

Seriously, watch that Hamill fight again if you get a chance! I'm still impressed by him and still have high hopes!

I think Lee would have taken Sakara handily in that fight if his back hadn't gone out on him. I think hes great for the UFC and MMA in general because his grappling style is so fast paced, and that would really help the new fans that don't get into the ground game so much to understand and appriciate it.

Ive been a james lee fan for a while and after pride 33 i thought he was gonna be one hell of a fighter, i thought he would destroy sakara and he very well could have had he not got hurt so early in the fight, I was impressed with Boetsh when he fought Heath, but Hamill really took it to him, which is exactly what i think james lee will do to him.

Lee rd.2 tko

Lee is a tough fighter, and has something to prove...I was talking to him the other day and he really seems like he is ready for this....and I think he can get this fight to the ground, and when he does..its over.

James Lee rnd 1 Sub

James Lee only lost to Sakara because he through out his back during the fight. i assure you Lee is for real and is a very dangerous submission grappler. i see Lee ending this fight in the late first or early second via RNC. Boetsch is suffering from Houston "The Human Hype Machine" Alexander syndrome and is getting far too much credit for his win over Heath. Lee will outclass Boetsch as he will expose him much like Hamill did (only is a different fasion)

I'm not a wealth of knowledge on either of these guys. I've see the Boetsch barbarian toss against Heath, and I was mildly impressed. I didn't realize that Lee injured his back in the Sakara fight.

Even without that knowledge, I was really suprised to see the money line set where it was. Unless I'm missing something here, I don't see how Tim is considered the favorite. He hasn't faught a submission fighter since his first MMA fight, that guy was like 14-20 at the time and had been KO'd like 8 times.

From what I can tell Tim's not going to have the tools, and experience to withstand the well versed game of James Lee. It's gravy that Lee's money line is paying out almost 4 to 1.

Word. He was impressive, but without great ground defense. Which is why this matchup is tough to call. However I have Lee cowering to Boetsch's strikes in R1.

I don't really see latching on for a quick guillotine choke agains Travis Wuiff being super impressive. I think Tim Boetsch is going to walk through Lee. James Lee looks way too soft too compete at 205. He needs to lose some of that extra weight and go down to 185.
