Posted 7/29/07 7:00:00PM Jamie Varner is amazing on his feet, and is an amazing wrestler. As long as he stays away from Hicks' guillotine he'll take this with ease. |

Posted 7/12/07 9:54:00PM yea i say Varner takes it rather easily, tbh though, i'd rather see him come back to the UFC.. |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM are you too joking? Varner will not take this easily. He is going to have his hands full with Hicks. Hicks is prolly going to be too much to handle IMO, can take a punch, very good submissions, good wrestling, and can throw power punches himself. Hicks is going to be the new champ. |

![]() I was thinking the same thing. Varner showed he was tough last fight. Hicks I think hits harder, and will impose his will on Varner. |

Posted 6/28/07 1:10:00AM I think Hicks has an advantage almost anywhere this fight goes, he has very underated boxing and is powerful with good submissions.. Varner needs to use his reach to set up his shots and keep hicks outside or else this will be a long night for the Worm |

Posted 6/25/07 5:46:00PM I think Marcus with impose his will on the feet being aggressive and rock Varner forcing him to take him down where he catches him in one of those tight as hell guillotines!!! Marcus is tough as hell and won't be finished quickly. Varner will have to wear him down and finish him late. But I think Hicks pressure, toughness, and heart will be too much for him. Hicks 2nd rd sub!! |

Posted 1/27/07 12:52:00PM varner is pretty ****** good, he is good not great in every area, but in the wec that makes him the best because he has no holes in his game. |

Posted 1/16/07 1:27:00AM Marcus Hicks should take this in the first round if he has the right gameplan. He is going to much much much stronger and I believe will overwhelm Varner quickly. He has to be extremely aggressive and looking to end it in the first round. If it goes past round 1 Hicks is going to have to show some amazing cardio to win a decision........It takes a lot of oxygen to power those muscles. _______________________________________ |

Posted 7/25/07 9:08:00PM I think Varner is going to have some trouble with Hicks. I've watched Hicks fight and he's no slouch. But I have to say Varner is one of the most complete figthers at that division. I say he keeps that fight standing and wins by TKO in the 3rd. |

Posted 1/30/07 10:59:00AM Varner was a D-1 All American wrestler and he's been boxing since he was in 4th grade. Wrestling through college on the D-1 level gets a person used to freakishly strong dudes. I really don't see Hicks doing much unless he steps up an insane submission game. |
