Veteran middleweight Rob Kimmons (20-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will finally get a shot in the UFC when he replaces an injured Alessio Sakara (12-7 MMA, 3-4) at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale.

Kimmons will meet Rob Yundt (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the event, which takes place June 21 at The Palms Las Vegas.

A source from the Kimmons camp told MMAjunkie.com that the fighter was recently offered and signed for the bout. Sakara, meanwhile, told us that a broken ankle forced his withdraw from the Spike TV event.

awwww....

I was really hoping to see Sakara, he is one of my favorites, and in his last fight with Leben, his boxing looked GREAT, until he got dropped

That kind of sucks I like Sakara his fights are always exciting, but kimmons seems to be no joke pretty decent record so we'll see what happens

yea he has good boxing, standing IMO he is better than Leben, cote, Mcfedries amongst other. But his chin fails him every time

Kimmons would beat Sakara and i was going to pick Yundt over Sakara cause Yundt would take it to the ground which is not Sakaras forte, so this should be a better matchup anyway

im picking Kimmons by Sub'1 or UD
