LINK Josh Burkman jokes (I think) with MMAWeekly.com that he will retire if his upcoming welterweight fight with Dustin Hazelett at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale on June 21 goes to a decision. “The People’s Warrior” has had his last five fights go to the judges scorecards and he’s dropped two of them (Mike Swick and Karo Parisyan). He narrowly won a split decision over Forrest Petz during that span. |

Posted 6/21/07 4:27:00PM Yeah a triangle to dustin. UFC WW talent has passed by burkman he needs to go to WEC or another organization. where he could have more success |

Its a big possibility that it could happen, but with Burkman saying he wont take it to the ground, i doubt hazlett has good enough wresteling to take it to the ground, still though, standing Hazlett is no fish out of water, he seems to be alot more technical, dont know if he has the power to get the KO, but i'll go with a decision win for him. But if Burkman realizes he is loosing the fight, he might go on instinct and take it to the ground, and that could prove to be a bad decision IMO. |
