Posted 5/20/07 4:03:00PM So is this a 11 fight....possibly 12 fight card now or have they scrapped Maia vs Herman and going with 10 fights? |

Posted 6/28/07 1:10:00AM they better not have scrapped the Herman fight, I was hoping Maia could pull off a big win, and prove he's the real deal. and I will go with Cain as well, although I dont know that Morris guy.... |

Posted 7/5/07 11:42:00PM first off i have heard really good things about cain, should be easy win for him second i think that the ed herman bout will be moved to either may to replace the thiago silva bout or go to june to be on a main card the ufc isn't going to air the fight anyways on the main card, so why have a good fight not aired?? it will happen but i think it will be moved, they might just scrap the whole silva fight but i doubt it, i see the ed herman bout being moved to june, |

Posted 5/20/07 4:03:00PM Well first, the ufc or ufc.com has never stated that the Herman vs Maia fight was off, they simply haven't listed it officially on their fight card. However, in an article on ufc.com annoucing the ufc which you can find in the archives, they clearly state Herman is fighting Maia in Montreal, so until we hear otherwise I would assume its still on. |

Posted 9/20/07 12:33:00PM I found some videos of both of these guys. You can check them out in the video section on this site. From the looks of it, it looks like Velasquez is a wrestler with solid conditioning. Morris looks to also be a wrestler with solid all-around skills. Morris (8-2) has more experience, but Velasquez (2-0) looks more impressive from videos. Should be an interesting fight, but if they are replacing Herman/Maia with this, then I feel cheated. Maybe they are moving that fight to UFC 84 where Rashad Evans was taken off of the card. Maybe it'll be on the main card there at Ill will. We can only hope! Maia is going to be a star. |
