We had reported last month about the myriad of MMA stars who are appearing in television and film including Rich Franklin, Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock and Tito Ortiz. Now you can add UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson to that list.

Jackson will be starring in the film Midnight Meat Train. The film co-stars Bradley Cooper, Vinnie Jones and Brooke Shields. Based on Clive Barker's short story of the same title, Midnight Meat Train is slated to release in mid-May.

Meanwhile Jackson, who was named 2007 Sportsman of the Year by the Memphis Commercial Appeal (Jackson is from Memphis), will also has a reality show pilot titled Rampage. The show features him as a single dad who has his parents move in to help him raise his four kids.

Jackson also begins filming for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter at the end of this month with Forrest Griffin. The show will begin airing on Spike on April 2nd, which would put the Jackson - Griffin light heavyweight title fight in late June or early July. The next season of The Ultimate Fighter will be kicked off with a live special headlined by Kenny Florian (who was in season one of The Ultimate Fighter) taking on Joe Lauzon (who appeared in season five of the show).

Well if Randy Couture can play the lead role in a movie (the Scorpian King 2) then I'm sure rampage can do okay. I like Randy but he's a quiet reserved guy... Jackson... not so much.....

I'm not sure if I like the idea of the single dad reality show for MMA....

But hopefully they do it tastefully we don't need another "Hogan knows Best" making the life of an MMA star look quirky....

I hope all the cameras and tv time doesn't cut into his training and focus.... we don't need another GSP/Serra incident....

the pilot isnt sold to a network yet, but if TUF gets decentg ratings and the strike continues, you can bet he'll get paid well for that too.

Now I can see Forrest winning even more!!!!!

Nah, but it would be a shame for Rampage to lose focus on what made him famous.

Only 6 more month's till that fight, But it was 7 not long ago!!

I wonder if they would still be made if hadn't gotten separated from his wife in 06? That kind of hard luck story might really help him come off sympathetic. It could be really good for mma, so I hope it does.

I'm not big on reality shows.TUF is the only one I watch, and sometimes I don't even watch that.Too much of it anymore for me,but if Rampage gets his own,I will probably watch it.
