This will be a war, IF Sanchez took his head out of his but and realizes his stand up ISNT THAT GREAT! If Sachez wrestles this will be a Ground all out war like Sanchez vs Diaz was!! And sanchez will come out on top once again...

But I say Diego by SD

fitch should already have a title shot already, it shouldve been fitch vs GSP at ufc 69. why everybody thinks fitch needs more fights is crazy, if you have to win 7+ fights to get a title shot your in the wrong orginization of undeserved title shots

When you're in the welterweight division 7 wins really doesn't mean jack, considering there's about 5 guys right now who could be argued deserve a title shot.

1. GSP
2. Hughes
3. Sanchez
4. Koscheck
5. Parisyan

and if Nick Diaz was still in the welterweight division you could argue for him, as well. I'd say right now Fitch is in the number 6 spot. If he gets a win over Sanchez he'll be in the #3 spot still behind GSP and the loser of Serra/Hughes depending on who wins. Don't forget you've still got BJ Penn in there (who would arguably be #2 or #3) should he decide to go welterweight.

I see 0 problem with him having to fight so much for a title shot especially considering Hughes hasn't even gotten his rubbermatch vs. GSP yet!

hughes is worthless and wont do anything the rest of his ufc career, he'll lose to GSP in the 3rd fight and BJ in the 3rd fight, also kos, fitch, diego, karo would beat hughes, he is not deserving of the #1 contender so no use trying to prove that he is with useless words, point blank hes washed up and done, theres no more easy opponents like he used to get, except dennis hallman schooled hughes twice back in the day out of the ufc

Sanchez is Fitch's first real test. He has 6 wins on the trot against up and comers. I agree that Sanchez has to take this to the ground, coz he's just so ruthless and relentless there. Would be an amazing ground war combined with Fitch's wrestling. I see Diego by UD

Hughes fought easy opponents? BJ Penn, GSP, Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, Mach Sakurai? Pushovers, huh? The equivalent of Roger Huerta's fight calender, I say!

I would like to see that Fitch vs. Joslin fight. I heard many people claiming that Joslin should have won that fight. I believe this fight will be very close, I am predicting a split decision win for Jon Fitch.

Sanchez is no joke, his fight with Koscheck does not do him justice. He had a bad case of staph infection during that fight so it is understandable that he performed poorly. Sanchez will come out determined and ready to go to war (and I'm not even a Sanchez fan).

Someone ban this guy! He obviously knows nothing about this sport or the UFC. Matt Hughes is a legend, future hall of famer, and deserves ore respect. By the way Hughes only fought Hallman once in the UFC, the other fight was in Extreme Challenge, and Hughes has improved ten fold since losing to Hallman.

Fitch is going to completely overwhelm Sanchez. I think Sanchez is going to be outclassed standing up, and when he resorts to wrestling, Fitch will be able to stuff most of his take downs and either reverse them into some GnP, or keep it standing. I predict a TKO in the second round for Fitch.

Exactly how I see the fight playing out, without the TKO. I think the fight will go to a decision, but Fitch will take the victory.

Deigo is dangerous on the ground though, especially from the bottom. He works an excellent butterfly guard and has some really good sweeps. I would like to see Fitch sprawl-n-brawl his way to victory. I don't think Deigo's stand-up is good enough to hang with Fitch.

Fitch wins by UD.

I love how people thought Diego was the next Fedor being 17-0 and destined for a title shot he losses to Josh Koscheck (which he wasn't 100% i hear which i believe and im the biggest Kos fan this site has seen lol.) I really give Jon Fitch as much credit as any one as he has some great wins and Diego may be a step up but Burkman is no walk in the park and Luigi Fioravanti was on a tear before he fought Fitch.

But how fast we forget how good Sanchez really is when hes at 100% and we saw how motivated GSP was coming off his loss to Matt Serra just think if GSP hated Serra more then any other fighter in the world. Thats what Diego is coming back from. I wouldn't want to be Jon Fitch with the Diego i think is gonna be coming to the Octagon. Im expecting a war and i see Diego winning with a Split but who knows. I really don't think people have any idea what they are talking about when they say Jon Fitch is going to walk through Diego Sanchez. He is the real deal and i believe Fitch is too. This fight card has so many great fights on it I really cant wait for Saturday!!
