So Ryo Chonan has just signed with the UFC. I'm a fan of Chonan, I like watching him fight. I own the DVD where he out grappled, out boxed, and out worked current UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. To top it off he tapped him out with a flying heel hook. The guy commentating that night - it's late and I'm tired, can't think of his name right now - said it perfect when he said that Ryo Chonan put on a Mixed Martial Arts masterpiece.

While I think Chonan would have a much harder time defeating Anderson Silva for a second time, I think he's going to make a good name for himself the UFC.

What do you guys think?

I actually think Ryo could possibly beat him again , but he does have a tendency to get Kocked Out

I think Chonan is a scrub, and it carries no signifigance that he signed with the UFC, i would never buy a main event that featured him and silva.

How is someone that has beaten fighters like Anderson Silva, Hayato Sakurai, Joey Villasenor, Carlos Newton a scrub?
It's unfortunate that you're entitled to your own opinion....

Chonan is a great addition to the UFC, he is exciting to watch and he will Strengthen the UFC MW div., I am not sure if he can beat Silva again, but he has as good of a chance as any one else right now. Besides, I would love to see the rematch, and maybe another Flying scissor heel hook, or some other crazy sub.

Yeah man, how is Chonan a scrub? He out struck one of the best strikers, if not the best striker in MMA in Anderson Silva.

He's got pretty decent boxing, good ground and pound, he just seems like he's an intelligent fighter. Pretty well rounded fighter.

Can't wait to see him fight in the UFC.
