Does he have it in him for another climb to the top? Two solid wins, but is the dedication there? what do you think?

Rizzo was one of my favorite old school fighters from UFC. His KO win on Tank was classic, and his picture-perfect KO of Josh Barnet is one of the cleanest punches I've ever seen.

The problem hes going to face is the same as all the old school fighters though. The sport is progressing so fast, if you take any time off at all, you'll never catch up. He took three years off and look what happened to him when he came back. Granted, he faced some rough competition, but he folded fast.

I'm glad hes gotten these last two wins, and I bet he could hold a title in a smaller org, but no way is he ever getting a UFC strap. Hopefully hes got a few more fights left in him though and ends his career on a high note.

Totaly agree.

For his time Rizzo was very dangerous and a top ten heavy weight. But all fighters are a product of their time and skill level, and in todays world of MMA Rizzo wouldn't stand up to the top competition.I would like to see him in Elite XC,or maybe even as a coach in the IFL.

He was good back in his day, but like Svartorm said, the sport is progressing too fast, Rizzo can't keep up.

When he came back off 18 months off in 2005, Sergei Kharitonov dismantled him brutally in like 2 minutes. I don't think Rizzo had ever seen anyone with boxing skills like that in MMA, totally caught him off Guard, he ended up getting tagged with shots for about 2 minutes straight, then getting knocked down, kicked in the chest and then hammer fisted out to a TKO.

Pedro The Rock Rizzo is another 1 of my idols i mean it sucked when he was ko ed by kharitonov and brutually knocked out by zentzov but i know the old pedro rizzo is back and i love it i want to see him fight Crocop or buentello i think Rizzo could make a run at a ufc strap

he needs to train with wrestlers mainly because he gets schooled on the ground by good wrestlers. plus he should have won that fight with couture. trust me i was ring side and rizzo won, watch the tape even couture was shocked. that was the first bad decision i saw and the second was this recent bisbing hamill fight.

I'd love to see him fight, but I'm not sure he would fare very well in the UFC.

Off topic, but dose anyone know how the UFC hall of fame works? But "The Rock" is clearly in there right?

I don't know how it works but I don't think he'd be in there. He wasn't one of the pioneers and I'm not even sure if his record ( in the UFC) is .500, but a HOF thread is a nice idea if there isn't one already.

Unfortunately it's unclear. So far there are 4 members, all of which are more than deserving. However I truly feel Rizzo, even though never winning a title, is easily on of the greatest heavyweights to have ever graced the UFC. We can only hope that Zuffa sees this aswell and acknowledges him.

p.s. Who here has seen the Severn fight? If you have did you laugh as hard as I did when the one nut in the crowd calls out Rizzo lol

He still has the power, but the question is in the heart. I would love to see him back in the UFC. Rematch w/ Randy, the bring back Barnett and have a few rematches there also.
