Longtime MMA judge Jeff Mullen, one of the two officials who scored Saturday’s UFC 75 fight between Michael Bisping and Matt Hamill as a victory for the U.K fighter, says that the angle in which he was watched the fight played a major role in his final decision.

I find it funny how all the breaks in the reffing and judging always go to the fighter that would most benefit the UFC.

This reminds me of the Keith Jardine vs Stephan Bonnar fight, where Cecil Peoples scored that fight 30-27 for Stephan. Cecil was also one of the judges that scored the Tyson Griffin vs Clay Guida.

Fighters are getting robbed. This is Getting out of hand.

Whats funny about all this is that Watts who is British, was the judge that scored the fight 30-27 for Hamill.

Additionally, he argues that Bipsing was “using an active guard trying to turn for armbars and sweeps” in the second round while Hamill was “doing very little on top.“

That's bullshit. He put his leg agianst Hamill's neck but never came close to anything else, and he went for zero armbars. And he never never swept Matt, he just gave up his back and stood up. If Matt had trained more subs he had a lot of chances to catch Bisping, and if the rematch does happen that's exactly what he needs to do.

All this does is cement to me how clueless these judges can be.

new refs and new scoring system should take effect, if its true about the scoring system as a 10 point must for the winner that the opponent gets 9 or less, key words there are 9 or less, its always 10-9 suppose they didnt earn that much credit, suppose it was a 5-2 because there in the 5th round and tired. just saying it wouldnt be a bad thing to at least have more 10-8 rounds more 10-7 rounds more 10-6 rounds.

i want a rematch in AMERICA, i guess it'd be good for those druken happy brits to see bisping get beat in the UK i mean it almost happened twice (sinosic and hamill)....hopefully in the rematch matt can finish like he almost did in the 1st

saw this posted on another site, thought it was interesting

"i am from the uk and was at the fight. from my perspective all 3 rounds went to hamill but i did get a chance to speak to mario yamasaki afterwards who said that he thought round 1 went to hamill, round 2 to bisping and round 3 was a draw. he said that in the event of a draw the hometown fighter gets the nod and that he agreed with the judges decision."

so those jabs he saw that noone else saw were enough to give him the 2nd?

the only thing i dont like about having former kick boxers and boxing ref/judges is that they can be completely biased on someones boxing.

I think matt hamill won that stand up, but as a boxing fan i would say that bisping boxing skills were better as where matt hamill just kinda rushed in with his strikes in a unorthadox way

i still think matt hamill won that fight though, but then again the ufc didnt hire me as a judge......they hired jeff mullen and cecil peoples

With everyone saying that Bisping won cause he was in his own country.

It is pretty funny that the British ref was the one that scored it 30-27.

Ya your right, I guess the England ref that scored all three rounds for Hamill was watching it on PPV also.

Give props

Oh ye of little knowledge. That move that you call giving up the back and standing up is actually a sweep. Maybe if you knew how hard it is to standup from that position you wouldnt simply discredit Bisping. I knew it was a closer fight than most said.
