That was a sick fight, the most techincal I have seen in a long time. Beebe proved that he is the real deal. Both guys were extremely tough. My hat is off to them, I would love to see a rematch.

To quote Mir, it was a "chess match" and after the first round, Beebe had Yahya in Check Mate for the rest of the fight. I am giving so much props to Yahya too for staying alive during all those rounds.

He could've probably finished him if he just kept pursuing the GNP. Even though he was gassed beyond belief, it was highly unlikely that Yahya was gonna get caught in a sub. Perhaps he was trying for the submission because it would of been that much sweeter to pull one off on Yahya.

Indeed. I think Rani would've retired if he got sub in that fight.. I would've been too ashamed..

my hat is off to Chase, as for most of his preparation for this fight was to fight a striker in M. Tapia. Tapia pulled out only 2 weeks ago and replaced with yahya, a 180 degree different opponet. But chase spent most of the 25 minutes in the Brazilians world and dominated him there. Congrats to Chase again

to pull off a submission i think he would have had to literally put him to sleep or broken something and have the ref stop the fight because i dont think yahya would have tapped. amazing first round...

That also means Yahya only had two weeks to prepare for Beebe so there was no disadvantage to anyone (unless Yahya was out of training before he got the offer).

ok.. i 'm no where near the caliber of either of those two.. but the reason i'm ******* PISSED is that yahyah being the level of practitioner that he is... and knowing what is necessary to win.. should have been far better conditioned than he was. if there is ever a rematch and yahyah gets in shape like he should hav ebeen... he'll tap beebe in the 3rd round easy i'm seriously disapointed that someone his caliber would come that unprepared. cuase believe me. chase beebe would not win a ******* ADCC. like i said. i'm not that coliber but if i was his student. i'd be imbarassed
but! if he only had two weeks.. then so be it... better luck next time and i retract my case

first, this is not submission grappling, and yahyah has no other tools in his bag. so better conditioning or not he'd lose again. 1 dimensional fighters will never be belt holders in this day and age of mma, and yahyah is to pigheaded to improve or see his own flaws.
Second, he said he was training already and that he does not change training due to who his opponet is...again pigheadedness.
Beebe fought the superstar grappler(lol) on the ground for most of the 25 minutes, and rolled through any subs yahyah tried in the 1st with ease. Yahyah got frustrated and didn't know what to do since bjj is not his fall back plan, but his whole plan. He needs alot of work before he is taken seriously as an mma fighter and not just a sub-grappler.
And Beebe doesn't care if he could win the ADCC, because he won the WEC, and thats where they meet! getting punched changes alot about some fighters.

He was and he stated his training does not differ due to who his opponet is. So disadvantage to Beebe because he is smart enough to train for speciffic opponets.
