To My Family, Friends, Fans and Sponsors:
Since UFC 74, I have wanted to speak publicly about my fight with David Heath (Pictures). I waited to do so, however, out of respect for the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Zuffa, Inc. and Dana White. After all, it is their efforts that have legitimized Mixed Martial Arts in the sports world and I realize that my conduct has unintentionally hindered those efforts. For that, among other things, I am deeply sorry.

The UFC's roster is too stacked to worry about Babalu. Good riddance.

Until I see it, I'm not sure if I buy what he's saying. By all accounts it was totally intentional though. Add that with with arrest last month for spitting in a bouncers face and he's exactly what the UFC doesn't need.
He's lucky he had the chance to fight Heath anyway after getting KTFO twice in a row.

Babalu is awesome. It takes a man to do something like that, very respectful. He is probably hatin himself now over what he did, but at the time he probably didnt think of the consequences, what happened to him was harsh, and Dana did go extremely far. For those who cant let it go really and truely should not be watching the sport, its a sport involving physical contact, a combat sport, it's a fight, the dude got choked out, if he did not tap and got choked out, no one would really care, why make such a big deal of this, I am sure alot of people would have done the same thing if Heath did what he did, I know I would.
