Frank Shamrock would stand absolutely positively no shot at winning this fight. I hate Diaz, but he would kill OLD Franky boy. Who says he's even any good anymore? He has two fights in the last how many yrs (can barely count gracie)? No chance in hell. I would bet my house on this.

Wow.. you guys have got to be kidding me.

I'd watch it for the trash talking alone, but at their current weights? No chance whatsoever for Diaz. Diaz likes to bang too much. Shamrock would knock his block off. Diaz knew damn well he had the advantage on the ground against Gomi. He knew to bang with Gomi might get him into a lot of trouble. Yet he still did it. He's arrogant, he's good, and he's stupid. All a combination I really like to watch, but deadly against Frank Shamrock. Shamrock stood there and banged with Baroni who's about 400 times the size of Diaz. I predict Shamrock feeling like a fly swatted him and then putting a fist upside Diaz's head that's more likely to come out the other side than to bounce off

Tell Robbie Lawler he has no power.....

watch him fight, how can you say he has power behind his punches, they are the weakest ever. he just has pin point accuracey and lands most

I wouldn't say Diaz has weak punches. They may look weak. Maybe it's more that he doesn't blow all his energy by throwing power shots every time he throws, which would be a stupid thing to do because people gas doing that.

Diaz is the better striker than Frank, while Frank is a lot stronger. If Diaz was really careful I could see Diaz picking his shots and slowly busting up Franks face as the rounds go by, like Diaz did against Josh Neer.

To sum it up, Diaz has power (even though his punches may look weak.) Frank is stronger and that may keep Diaz from tapping Frank out. Diaz is better technically on his feet and could pick Frank apart with boxing if he is careful. While Frank could end the fight with a couple of powerful punches. I also think Frank would be too strong for Diaz on the ground.

Either way, I wouldn't want to see Diaz fight Frank. Diaz shouldn't move up weight. I think it would be too risky.

But if this fight ever did happen, I would most definitely bet on Diaz winning.

There is no doubt Diaz would win in my mind. How could you say his BJJ would be useless? Did you not see him wrap Gomi into a human pretzel? And Gomi is a damn good striker.

The point about Frank being strong is true, but so was Ken and he got his ass knocked out by a Middleweight named Rich Franklin if you dont remember that. So strength means nothing if you have deadly percision like Franklin.

Diaz has shown he can be percise when it comes to striking, im not saying he would be, but he has more then enough to stop Franks strength. If this fight took place five years ago I would take Frank no doubt, but its today, so I take Diaz without any doubts in my head.

Rich Franklin is probably one of the top 3 biggest MW's out there. The guy sometimes walks at 210 or so. He came out to visit us in Iraq and during a question answering session somebody asked him what he walks at and he said most of the time around 200-205 but that he has been up to as big as 215. That guy is no small guy by any means. I've seen him work out, too.. he's strong as an ox. Not to totally dismiss your post, but trust me when I say Rich is a big, big, big strong MW.

Compared to Nick who barely tips the scales at 170.

Of course, now that Frank has to go through that knee surgery I don't know how he'll come back.

First logical post on here.

Diaz has only seen Frank's last fight? That would explain his ignorance. Frank was injured and couldn't even train cardio. Of course he was in bad shape. That being said he put a whippin on the best eva. Standing no less.

Frank will annihilate Diaz completely wherever the fight goes. No disrespect intended...

Can you imagin the trashtalking before this fight though?! It would be legendary...although a rematch with Tito would be better.

I'm sure Diaz has seen more then just his last fight, get a clue. He just said after seeing Franks last fight he thinks he would spank him.

If Diaz could keep it standing I feel it would be a great fight. With Diaz getting the better. But I think Frank would go for the takedown, and get it, then out work Diaz from there. Shamrocks strength and ground skills would be too much for Diaz to handle (eventhough Diaz has some sick ground skills of his own).

Now with that being said; Shamrock looked out of shape in his last fight, suprisingly. So I think Diaz would take the punishment and end up wearing Frank down. And then he might be able to score a KO or sub the tired Shamrock.

And Diaz does have power (not the strongest but it's there) and Frank doesn't have the best chin (it's good but not that good).

I would pick Diaz in this match by TKO in the 3rd, but I am not sure it will ever happen. Like people said the weight classes are all screwy and Frank is a puss and probably wouldn't accept the fight.

Frank is too good for Diaz, he is a better boxer and is better on the ground. Diaz would make it a fight but it would be all Shamrock.
