Season three winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) and undefeated UFC light heavyweight contender, Michael Bisping, could possibly move down to the middleweight division sometime in the future, according to the Orange County Regester.

it would be a good move if its true, he is not a cut 205, so i can defenately see him as middleweight, but ven if he does move down, i dont think he has a chance against A.silva, but it would be a good move on his part, since i dont think he can hang with Page, shogun, wanderlei, chuck, etc.....

I actually think him and Silva would be a pretty exciting fight.

I'm lookin' forward to seein' it because he would be much bigger than Silva, and his style I think is the type that Anderson doesn't handle very well... the over aggressive constant attacking pace that I think Silva would get overwelmed with.

Could be wrong, but it'd be a good fight.

As stated above, and I am sure it will be stated a few more times.. I think this is a good move for him. I do not see him doing much against the top fighters in his current weight class. Don't get me wrong I like to watch Bisping fight and all, but I think he coudl do more in the lower weight classes. I just do not see him being a contender in his current weight class.

I think he is a sub par LHW. At MW he is right in the mix. I would love to see Bisping v. Okami. Bisping would be a huge 185 and neutralize Okami's strength. It would be fight of the night for sure.

Wow. That's shocking.

I was just discussing this with someone and I believe that Bisping will get to a point at 205lbs. where he will not be able to compete with certain fighters' striking ability nor will he be able to compete with certain fighters' jiu jitsu. At that point, I feel Bisping will have little choice but to transistion to middleweight, which I feel is the ideal situation anyhow, what with the middleweight division looking a bit thin and the light heavyweight division being stacked.

Of course, it could all be much simpler than any of that. Maybe he really likes training with Rampage and would be unwilling want to fight him. A move down would eliminate the possibility and allow the two to train together as long as they both deem it beneficial.

Nothing. Not one thing. And that's the point, really.

He'll have a better shot at the title. Due to the lack of talent and bispings rising talent. It would help boost the middleweight and LHW is already getting stacked as it is. Overall good move.

Ok. I get it. So what. I want to see Okami fight everyone. Not just middleweights. I would like to see him make his way to Fedor and Bisping is the first step. If Okami was a stock I would buy it. I also want to have his baby.

Just like everyone else, it's sounds like a smart move for Bisping. LHW is so loaded, Bisping would have to probably wait at least a couple of years until he got his shot at the title. And that's if he doesn't lose any fights.

Now, if he drops to middleweight, wins 2 or 3 fights in a row, we could see him against the champ by mid to late 2008. Solid addition to the MW division with no short term loss to the LHW division.

Bisping's last fight was a near submission loss to Sinosic who is sporting an impressive 8-10 record in the MMA. Bisping's next fight is against Matt Hammill, a deaf mediocre wrestler with 3 (three) professional fights. Bisping's other notable wins include Haynes (record of 7 wins and 8 losses), Pointon (record of 5-9), Mehmet (3-4), Cook (6-5), Radford (1-3), Bridges (1-2), Weir (3-2), Matthwes (0-4). Bisping defeated one guy in his career who had 10 or more professional MMA wins. I wish I was making this stuff up.

Bisping is a creation of the TUF publicity machine loved by internet fanbois around the globe. As long as he keeps fighting hand-picked soda cans, he will keep beefing up his already impressive record and his fame will soon eclipse the sun. Bisping will get murdered at 205 lbs, and dropping to middleweight may be his only salvation.

This is why I wholly approve of your crush on Okami.
