Jorge Gurgel (11-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC), a cast member from “The Ultimate Fighter 2” who runs a mixed-martial-arts training center just north of Cincinnati, has been booked for the UFC 77 card and will take on Alaska Fighting Championships bantamweight champion Doug Evans (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC)

None of Jorge's fights in the UFC have been finishes, so I highly doubt that he will TKO Doug Evans. As for my pick, I'm guessing Doug Evans by split decision.

This isnt a very good matchup, Jorge Grugel has the potential to be really good but every fight he has had in the ufc has been unimpressive and he hasnt showcased hi jiu jitsu skills at all, plus every fight he wins is by lackluster decision , HE COULDNT FINISH DANNY ABBADI come on thats a gift wrapped fight fro him to win. And on the other side you have Doug Evans who looked pretty goood in the first round against Huerta who obviously didnt take hime seriously and than showed his lack of experience and mma knowledge in the second round and got tko'd, but Evans is a very good wrestler and used it well his last fight but alll in all this does not make for an exciting matchup.
Im picking Grugel by controversial split decision where he spends most of the fight on his back (come on they wont give evans the decision in Cincinatti)

I'm hoping Gurgel will show up that night and impress everyone. I know he hasn't looked great lately but being at home maybe he will have some fire. We will see soon enough.
It's true about Danny A. if he couldn't finish him how is he going to finish Evans. That worries me.
