varner looked very impressive tonight, i think he could be getting the next light weight title shot after crunkiton. he deserves it in my opinion, i think he would take out razor rob as well

It all depends on how Razor Robs take down defense is if its good he'll have no problem with Varner but if its not he might be in for a rough fight, and i do agree that Varner has been impressive in this fight aswell as his two UFC fights against Gilliam aswell as against Franca where he ended up losing but did win the first two rounds, so overall this makes for a very interesting fight. Could go either way whenever this fight happens and if he wins his next fight.

O yeah he was very impressive but i think he should have one more fight with some one like Marcus Hicks for # 1 contender

Why count out Crunkilton? I think he has a great chance at beating Razor at the next WEC.

Varner deserves a shot for sure, i dotn see why he got knocked down to WEC just because of a loss to Franca.

Varner is the best lightweight in the WEC hands down. He needs one more fight to prove himself for the title though.

I think Varner is being over hyped now because of his last fight.
He did look good but to say he would beat Crunkilton or McCullough is a stretch, at least at this point in time.

If he is the best lightweight in th WEC why would he need another fight to prove himself? Plus i wouldnt consider better than Razor Rob or Cleat at this point but he does have the right style to beat both of them.

Because he's only had one fight in the WEC and 2 in the UFC. One moere top contender and he deserves a shot. Varner is too powerful for Razor to defend the takedowns against. Crunkilton will be a tougher match but same thing goes.

He is the only top contender at Lightweight in the WEC right now other than Alexd Karalexis, plus its not like the UFC guys will come in and get title shots right away look at Paulo Filhoi never fought in WEC before, Carlos Condit one fight before a title shot.

i think varners really good, and hes still really young. i dont know if he beats razor right now though, and i can definately see some ufc guys going to wec in the near future(probably tuf 5ers) making it perhaps the best division in wec, so who knows if/when he'll get his shot. the guy is an up and comer though, and could be the next in line, but IMO i see a match with alex k as his next fight before any title shot.

The difference between them and Varner is Filho and Condit have alot more big fights under their belts. Filho was the Pride 183 king. Condit has fought Cheruto, Trigg, Jake Shields, Pat Healy. Varner hasn't really fought names like that besides Franca (who he looked grear against). Varner is a beast and telling by the fights he has had, he can be up there with the top guys, but he has to beat some first.

It would be a tough fight 2 call. If McCullough's sprawl is good enough on the night, he should stop Varner, but Varner is no slouch. If he gets it to the ground, he might be able to stop Rob
