i think he is too weak, a strong guy will push him around. Kenny will always be a contender, but he will never be champ. Kind of like a Frank Trigg or Bablu, always a tough fight, but not good enough to be a champ.

It depends when it happens and who he fights.

I agree with that except I think Babalu could still become champ be fore the end of his career

The lightweight division keeps getting stronger, if sherk does win the appeal and him and penn fight, whoever wins that fight will control the division for a while. Each division needs a gatekeeper though, so Kenny will be important to the UFC

He's improving every fight and he keeps impressing me. He's obviously a smart guy who works hard on his weaknesses and I think he's got potential to be champ one day.
He's not exactly athleticly gifted but what he lacks in athletic ability he makes up in training smart and hard.

There is a very real possibility Kenny could hold a title at some point in his career, just look at the improvement he's shown in recent fights. His standup has grown by leaps and bounds and his always solid jiu jitsu is only getting better. If he keeps evolving his standup game and works on his counter wrestling and takedown skills he will be at worst a perennial contender for the rest of his career.

And as far as Babalu goes I'll say it for the hundredth time, put a good Boxing instructor in his ear and not only is he a likely future champ but I would bet you cash money you would never see him out of the top 3-4 rankings at LHW for the rest of his career.

Kenny can be champ, but wouldnt be able to sweep the division like some of these bigger 155ers like sherk, penn and stevenson. But matched up with not an oversized 155er kenny does good. But anything can happen in a fight, a good punch, punchers chance. doctor stoppage.

He could drop down to 145 spice that division up also

I think he could get the title if Sherk isn't holding it, or Penn, or Stevenson.... lol... so pretty much never. But i said later in his career.

He will always be a contender but as long as guys like Sherk and BJ are in there, he isn't gonna come close.

I can never see him beating the likes of benn, sherk, stevenson, huerta even put him up against tyson griffin, clay guida, Frankie Edgar, spencer fisher and he will struggle. Infact i never see him beating any of these guys. Becouse he has an excisting fan base due to TUF he will always get fights and pushed as a contender but i dont think he is

Kenny has decent stand up and is good on the ground.

He also has lethal elbows that could stop a fight at any time.

I must agree with the lot of you though, as long as Penn and Sherk are around, Kenny will be reduced to winning the majority of his fights on UFNs or undercards.
