Insidefighting.com's top 8 pound for pound guys...
1. Fedor Emelianenko (25-1)
2. Chuck Liddell (20-3)
3. Georges St. Pierre (13-1)
4. Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic (21-4-2)
5. Takanori Gomi (27-3)
6. Sean Sherk (31-2-1)
7. Wanderlei Silva (31-6-1)
8. BJ Penn (10-4-1)

I actually like their list. I know most will disagree about Sherk, but the only person to handle him was GSP. So I understand their angle.

I don't think BJ should be on this list and Wandy is probably past his prime. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Anderson Silva, Paulo Filho, Matt Hughes, Gilbert Melendez, Yamamoto, and Urijah Faber could be ahead of Penn.

What do you guys think of this list?

Missing Norifumi Yamamoto for sure. Dude's got some serious skills, and should be ranked at the top, or near the top for p4p.

Without Nori in the top two, it's not a true list.

I usually don't like their rankings. This list isn't bad , but I agree with you on Shogun, A. Silva, Hughes, Filho and Yamamoto. Hughes anf Kid should be top 5 on any list IMO. I'd also throw in Hendo and the Nogs in the mix

Notice all the people who are upset that there fighter isn't there, see this is why Pound 4 Pound rankings dont work. Too much opinions involved.

I like that list, but I think that Matt Hughes should definately be in the top 8. Although he lost to GSP in dominating fashion, he has beaten alot of people in his division. After all, he is a 9 time 170 pound champ.

GSP should be no lower than #2 IMO.

I'd get rid of Gomi. He's made his winning streak the past couple years by beating up smaller guys in a weight div that was taylor made for him.

Aoki and Melendez are missing as well.
