Before UFC 73: Stacked, none of the UFC Champions had a title defense. Anderson Silva and Sean Sherk now each have one title defence. Which UFC Champion do you believe is the toughest and will have the longest title defense streak?

Upcoming Defenses

Sherk vs Penn
Serra vs Hughes
Silva vs Franklin
Jackson Vs Hendo
Couture Vs Gonzaga

I think Sean Sherk has the best chance, With the exception of BJ Penn, I don't believe there is anyone else that can submit him. Nobody can wrestle with him. I don't believe there is a powerful enough striker out there that can KO him. I however, think there will be a clean sweep of the champions and am picking Penn, Hughes, Franklin, Hendo, and Gonzaga in the upcoming title fights.

How could you think Franklin would stand a chance after the last fight plus he almost blew it vs Okami

if sherk can get past bj i dont see anyone on the horizon who poses a serious threat. if not sherk than silva, although i do think that franklin has a very realistic shot. the 205 is just too tough with the pride additions and someone will catch rampage sooner rather than later. i love both serra and couture but i dont think anyone thinks that they will have long reigns as champions. randy is just too small and matt is in a loaded division and wasnt ever at the top of it to begin with. nothing against either one of them i thought both of them winning their belts was incredible, just the way i see it.

I think Silva will defend, and Rampage will defend. Serra, Sherk, And Couture will all lose there next fights. It depends who there opponents will be but I think Silva will defend the longest between him and Rampage. I think If Silva can get by Franklin, I can't see anyone elce in the division knocking him off the top. Jackson is in a much deeper divison, so staying on as the champ will be more difficult. I think If Sherk can get past BJ I don't think there is anyone strong enough to beat him, but I have Penn in that fight.

I know silva looks like a good bet but sherk isnt used to losing and never has in the lightweight division. BJ is extremely good but i think hes to small to win this. Silva has a big problem with Rich Franklin coming up, since Rich is really the only other competition in the middleweight division. But lightweight has like kenny florian as the #2 guy practically so..
Sherk ALL the WAY

Ok my predictions
Sherk will go for a lot of defenses
Serra is screwed when Hughs destoys him
Silva and Franklin are a good fight, whoever wins, keeps the title for a long time
Jackson has to much competition in his divison and will eventual lose, most likely to Henderson
Coture, you can never leave him out. Even against fedor

If Sean Sherk gets passed BJ Penn, then it's easy sailing to the record for most consecutive title defenses. Due to the lack of depth in the Lightweight division, if/when Sherk beats BJ Penn, then he will keep it for the longest time. Aside from that, I think Anderson Silva. But, my official pick goes to Sean Sherk. I think he will lose, but he may just out power BJ Penn and toss him around like a Hawaiian rag-doll. Franklin might be Silva, just because Franklin now knows what he's getting into and how to prepare. But, Silva might just throw in a different aspect into his game, catch Franklin off guard and break his nose again. Official pick is Sherk.
