The UFC’s latest attempt at a superfight is off the table, according to company president Dana White.

White told the Los Angeles Times via text that a long-discussed bout between UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and two-time UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw is “not happening.”

The report also notes that the UFC is working on an opponent for Dillashaw’s next title defense, though no specific names have been mentioned as of yet.

And rightfully so. Now TJ can go and defend the title he’s never defended, instead of pulling a Conor and trying to jump to a new division right after winning the belt.

So whoever the #8 Flyweight contender is will be getting the next shot at DJ?

That seems to be how it works.

I had more interest in this then in DJ moving to 135 but it's not a fight I really cared much to see.

Well shit, guess I'm the only one who wanted to see it...you see the political bullshit doesn't make fights so as a fan I just want to see good fights and that one looked good. 135 is in a great spot and 125 could really use a shot of adrenaline and Killashaw would have added that instantly. Now I guess it'll be a Cejudo rematch? Or maybe DJ can fight Joey B again...or maybe someone else can drop down for it (Cody Garbrandt is out there).
