I think if they want to keep having sic cards they can. There is more then enough talent, and up and coming talent to have stacked cards every month. However UFC 72 was not a stong card, and that was very recent. So it's really up to the UFC, they can if they choose to.

I think I don't realize what this thread is about. And/Or what Couture staying champ has to do with UFC's stacked cards.

Well they are scheduled awhile in advance. Since 72 alot of talent has been acquired. I don't see any reason why the PPV's shouldn't have 5-6 above average fights (on paper at least), from here on out. Even Fight Night 11 looks pretty solid for a free card.

Thomas vs Fisher and Leben vs Swick are fights that previously would have been on PPV's.

Yes, they will have stacked cards ON PAPER. But as we saw in the last two events, some of them really didn't live up to the huge hype surrounding them.

The stacked cards are awesome. Although great match ups are usually not quick knockouts, rather long grueling matches.

Sanchez V Koschek
Couture V Silvia
Sherk V Franca

You'd prefer to see a 1 minute knock out? If I am going to pay money, I want to see the fight at least get passed the first round. Couture/Silvia was far from grueling.
