I think by far the most exciting division in the UFC is the WW division. There are so many fighters that really could claim they've earned a shot at the title. Karo, Kos, Diego, Gsp, Fitch.

In what world, does it make sense that they freeze the title fights in the WW division from March till Decemeber so they can tape this stupid show. Then they give the title shot to the least deserving fighter in the Division because he was a coach on Tuf 6. Matt hughes is amazing, the most dominant WW fighter of maybe all time. But of all the talent in the WW division he fights a non-top ten fighter, probably not even a top twenty fighter in Chris Lytle and then gets a title shot. Any fighter should have to beat a top five fighter to get a title shot.

They probably only tape for 6 to 8 weeks. But editing and airing of the program is why it will be months before we see Hughes and Serra fight again. If the coaches didn't fight at the end, we could've watched 2-3 amazing welterweight title fights this year.

In the poll I forgot to add a Winner of Diego vs Fitch button and an Other button

Maybe this thread will give you a little insight. It's from a couple months ago, but basically about the same thing.

Serra's first title defense?

Personally Karo should get a title shot after defeating burkman. But then again matt hughes beat chris lytle. Jon fitch beat roan. And GSP and Kos are fighting.

I didnt really like them pushing the title match way back to december. putting the title fight on the finale was alright but then again. It looks like karo might have to fight again before he is even considered in for a title shot.

Cuz winner of gsp/kos get nexts shot after hughes. Then you have jon fitch and diego going at it which could be the next in line for the title. So where does that leave karo.

I guess this is what you get for the top divison in the ufc.

I'm gonna go with winner of Kos/GSP SHOULD get the next one.I think giving Hughes it was a little premature. Then whoever is champ after Kos or GSP vs Serra should defend it against the winner of a match between Karo/Hughes. It would solve everything and i think it would be the best idea giving everyone a fair chance.

Yes that would have kinda of been better, Hughes vs Karo, Gsp vs Kos and Fitch vs Diego.

First crack at the title winner of GSP/kos, then hughes/karo, then fitch/diego

I agree Twenty20Dollars

GSP / Kos
Hughes / Karo
Ffitch / Diego

I think Hughes will take the title back and keep it until GSP knocks him out again

Dana White loves Hughes. Don't get me wrong he deserves another shot at the title, but he should fight 1 more person before getting it. If you read various articles and watch video clipse of matt and dana together they are like best buds. I agree it's ridiculous to wait this long for the title fight.

both of you are right on the money with how it should be and how it will be. although it woould be nice if gsp could get a rematch/revenge against serra.

I must say I really think that Hughes does not deserve a title shot right away, he had a LACKLUSTER performance against runner-up of TUF 4 Chris Lytle, and he just fought to get by and not to win, which was disgusting.

I think after that fight Matt Hughes should have fought the winner of Burkman/Karo then the winner of that should have coached TUF.

I think Dana needs to focus on the MW division on TUF and have Hollywood Henderson and Rich Franklin coach. They don't even have to fight, they are focusing more on the coaches than the fighters and that is stupid they are straying away from the season of Tuf 1-3. TUF 4 and 5 was more glitz and glamour than it actually was about the fighters.
TUF 5 was hands down the worst season of TUF,
They need to bring back the challenges.

Ok Im guessing that dana and matt are pretty good buds, because matt hughes just got by on a easy win over lytle and gets a title shot.

But get this Andrei Arlvoski was promised a title shot if he beat werdum, and now he doesnt get a title shot. and andrei just won a lack luster decision. just like matt hughes.
