Weigh in on how you feel Chute Boxe will do in the UFC without stomps, soccer kicks, knees to downed opponents. Don't forget however, that elbows are in for UFC, though not in Pride.

I'm inclined to think Shogz will kick ass anyhow and Machida's first. And if Machida dropped to 185, BJ could take im.

Don't take anything away from Lyota. We're seeing how hard it is for the PRIDE guys to come over and fight, all of them looked shaky in their debut. Shogun will win, but it will be a verry good fight. Chute Boxe will do fine, wandy's fought in the UFC so when he comes over he'll know what to expect and shoguns very talented.

Cmill has got a point...Machida is a very good fighter. If Shogun does not take him seriously he could pull off the upset (he better not though!!! =P) I feel the UFC will do awesome because most UFC people have never had to deal with the aggresiveness the Chuteboxe brings or the Muay-thai skills. Also people in Chuteboxe used elbows back in Vale Tudo very effectively. War Chuteboxe! Chuteboxe violence!!!

Im a hardcore Chute Boxe fan so I want them to do well, while I'm disappointed that those goddamn unified rules will stop them from using their full arsenal, I still believe they are some of the best and most aggressive fighters in all of MMA, they will do well

I want soccer kicks and stomps to return so badly, it is one thing not to have them in the UFC but to get rid of them in Pride is just sad =(

Shogun has won 4 out 18 fights by moves that are now illegal in UFC/PRIDE.
Silva has won 3-4 out of almost 40 fights by moves that are illegal in the UFC.

Those are two huge Chute Box fighters who have wins by illegal moves just over 10% of their fights. That's not going to halt them at all. Granted, Silva has used knees to head to finish someone out by the fists, he's still KO'd more people by fists than by knees.

I don't think it'll have a huge impact at all, especially since they can use elbows to their advantage on the ground.
