Former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort isn’t hanging up the gloves just yet, despite what you may have read.

MMAjunkie today confirmed with “The Phenom” what an Instagram post some took to serve as a retirement announcement was nothing of the sort.

“I’m not retired,” Belfort said emphatically. “I want to fight again soon.

“I am driven to get back on my feet and honor the nickname I so proudly carry. ‘The Phenom’ is back.”

Vitor is still dangerous as fuck in the 1st round and can definitely still compete at the highest level...it's not like he is getting ktfo or anything, if anything I am still surprised whenever I see him fight at just how explosive, quick and aggressive he is early...actually good to see him keep going...95 percent of the division loses to Mousasi, Jacare and weidman..Vitor has not really declined that much he has always struggled keeping his pace up because he is such a killer finisher...whenever he loses its usually in the same fashion...he never gets knocked out bad and it's usually from him suffering from fatigue

Well, since he's not retiring...a match up against Uriah Hall makes perfect sense. They are ranked number 9 and 10 in the division and are both coming off losses, not to mention it's an exciting match up.

He is in a weird position for sure...1-3 (KOs all around) since 2013 break to get off TRT...I'd give him a non KO artist 1 time just to see what happens. If Vitor gets KOed by say a guy like Krzysztof Jotko, then I'd say there was a concern for his brain's health.
