In the post fight press conference Dana mentioned a possible matchup between CroCop and Nogueira if CroCop defeats Kongo. What does everyone think about this matchup? Personally I think that if CroCop's training in the cage is progressing well and he's able to rebound the way he did after his loss to Randleman he'll be able to take Nogueira this time around. I'm sure seeing Heath hurt him so badly will give him confidence too.

The thing that someone on another forum mentioned about this Dana pitting PRIDE vs. PRIDE.
Why let them knock each other off the contenders list if not to save face for some of the UFC guys? Why not Nog or CC vs. Arlovski or Timmy?
I realize that eventually things will line up but wasn't this the biggest reason fans were excited about the PRIDE purchase? Now we got to see Nog vs. Herring 3 and we're gonna get CC/Nog 2.
It's a great fight, and working with Werdum has certainly improved CC's sub defense, but it's still kind of BS

well at the press conference he actually said that CroCop's camp specifically requested the Nogueira fight if he wins. Even if it were Dana's choice I would see that more as a move to determine which of the PRIDE guys who are coming over should get the first title shot. I see no problem with it... a great matchup is a great matchup, and the best fighter will eventually be holding the belt regardless of who they need to defeat before getting there.

If Big Nog fights like he did against Herring, Nog will get KO'd in the first round. Nog looked unbelievably bad against Herring. He wasn't going for the submissions very much, but his standup was pretty good.
CroCop will most likely come back with a vengeance. He's going to be quick, explosive, and most likely dominate his opponents with the quick jabs and kicks.

I know some people are going to laugh at this, but I don't care. Kongo is gonna beat CroCop.

Its not too unlikely. And hey crocops gonna be so heavily favored that if you can see through all that hype and put alot down on kongo, youll be a rich man. Or maybe i'm just using reverse psychology so you bring down Crocops odds and give me more money when CC headkicks the hell out of Kongo.

Honestly, the only loses Kongo has is when it goes to the ground. When he stands up, he is explosive. Just like CroCop. After that great kick by Gonzaga, I see CroCop coming out like Rashad did. Too conservative. Tito didn't take advantage of it. Kongo will. As far as the CroCop-Kongo fight, I'm willing to take bets.

When's the last time you saw Mirko tentitive? Are you kidding? Gilbert Yvel(a striker 1/10 as good as Mirko) Ko'd kongo. Mirko's going to crush kongo i'll bet you 1,000-you put up 600.

just recently at ufc73, i saw heath herring land a huge head kick on big nog that almost put him away, cro cop hits way harder than herring, i am a big fan of big nog and i think he will be at the top in the future but i think cro cop is back on the war path after his gonzaga loss and i think he will beat big nog up for 3 rounds via descision
