UFC president Dana White has vowed that Conor McGregor will abandon one of his two UFC titles if McGregor achieves his dream of becoming a two-weight world champion by defeating lightweight beltholder Eddie Alvarez on Nov. 12 at UFC 205. McGregor, however, appears to have other plans.

"They're going to have to gather an army to try and take one of them (belts) off me, and that's out straight," McGregor said Tuesday at the raucous UFC 205 kickoff press conference in Madison Square Garden. "One's going to be there, one's going to be there, and I'm going to be picking and choosing who I want to destroy next. And that's it."

"I'm going to wrap one (belt) on one shoulder, and I'm going to wrap the other on the other shoulder, and they're going to need a f*cking army to come take them belts off me," McGregor said.

IF he does win (and that's a big IF imo), I believe him over Dana.

I think he will be allowed to hold and defend both belts even though Dana said no. Conor was supposed to get stripped if he didn't defend his belt after the 2nd Diaz fight. Well he's not defending his belt next and he's not getting stripped so how am I supposed to believe it's going to be any different this time around? It won't. If conor wins, they'll likely negotiate that he has to defend his FTW belt first so he doesn't get stripped, then go defend the LW belt afterwards, and kind of stay in that routine.

Sh*t, if Connor wins the LW title, they will probably let him fight for the WW belt for a chance to be a 3 belt champion before defending either belts, regardless of the fact he hasn't beaten a top 10 WW in the UFC.

Although a fun fight I am looking forward to, I would have rather seen both Connor and Eddie defend their titles at least once before doing a "Super Fight". I guess technically this is a defense for Eddie, but not against a rightful contender, so it seems like more of a "Super" fight.

What if Conor loses? Are we going to see another pointless immediate rematch?

Not stripping Conor ' s belt already is kind of a bitch move by the UFC, and it's going to cost them Jose Aldo (a top 10 GOAT). The UFC needs to sack up and run the sport instead of being held at ransom by Conor.

Or you could just adjust some rankings on the UFC website.

Let's face it, Conor is going to get his way until he loses a few fights consecutively and then loses his value to the UFC. As long as he is their biggest draw he will get what he wants. Love him or hate him, he knows how to market himself and is a smart business man. I hate him, but give him props for being the first fighter to really stand up and earn his due and run with it.

Funny thing is that taking the belt from him wouldn't involve the belt at all...it's a swing of a pen across paper.

Gather an army of attorneys lol. No seriously. It won't take much to take his title away. Maybe the little leprechaun is delusional since he's never defended a belt but he gets a new one each time he wins
