Michael Bisping has stepped in as a replacement and will fight middleweight champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 199.
Bisping (28-7 MMA, 18-7 UFC) replaces ex-champ Chris Weidman (12-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC), who was forced out of the title shot with champ Rockhold (15-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) on Tuesday due to a neck injury and pending surgery.
UFC President Dana White today announced the change while on ESPN’s “Sports Center.” The UFC executive said the title shot would’ve gone to Ronaldo Souza (23-4 MMA, 6-1 UFC), but “Jacare” is facing knee surgery following a first-round TKO win over Vitor Belfort (25-12 MMA, 14-8 UFC) this past weekend at UFC 198.

Ugh. Bisping gonna get destroyed.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

I don't see this going any differently from the first fight, except maybe being quicker.

It sucks Kennedy isn't around to fill in. The card itself is solid, but there's nothing about the first fight that made me think a second fight would be any different

Bisping finally gets a title shot.
Unfortunately for him, it's gonna be Rockhold by murder.

I'm glad Luke is staying on the card but this is such an unnecessary rematch. Bisping is gonna get slaughtered.. Again!

Man, am I bummed. I was praying for Jacare and hoping for a better matchup than this if it wasn't him. I would have taken Brunson or Mousasi as a fill in over Bisping and let Bisping fill in to fight the one who's been left out at 200.
Does this suck.....This fight won't even be competitive, it'll be a one sided beating by the hands of Luke Rockhold. I think Luke beats him easier than he did the first time, I bet this fight doesn't go past the 1st, Bisping will get finished by sub or tko. I hope Luke one arm guillotine chokes him out with the other arm this time around.

This might be one of the worst beatdowns in UFC history.

There's only one positive thing I can take from this. It'll be one of the easiest fights to pick in the history of mmaplayground!

According to Dana, knee surgery is keeping Jacare out.

On the bright side at least thery are still keeping a Main Event and Title Fight together.
Weidman and Jacare are the obvious 2 choices. And under these circumstances I'm not upset that Bisping is getting the shot.

Okay, Bisping can't mention a title shot anymore the rest of his career. He's been asking for one after every single win for about 8 years now. It's finally time. Unfortunately for him though it's against a guy who already dominated him not too long ago.

Words cannot describe how much I was looking forward to Rockhold/Weidman II. It's a pinnacle of MMA fight. When people who don't watch MMA ask what new fights to watch, I think Lawler/Condit, I think Cruz/Dillashaw, and I was expecting Rockhold/Weidman to live up to a similar standard.
I was considering passing on this event but Cruz/Faber II should be a stellar fight and there's other cool fights on the card to keep me interested, but man, what a disappointment this turn of events have become.

Props to Bisping for taking the fight. If Rockhold wasn't the champ, I doubt many fighters would've been clamoring for the fight. If Bisping wins, it would be a massive upset and would clog up the division pretty badly. I mean Weidman, Romero, and Souza all in line for title shots and Rockhold would probably get an instant rematch if he were to lose.
