 UFC WAITING ON THE CANADIENS
“We want to come to Montreal, Canada in October/November 2007!” stated a delighted Marc Ratner of the UFC. “I’ve been talking with the Bell Centre and they want us there, but the Montreal Canadiens hockey team always comes first!” he explained in a jovial voice. “We’d love to have Georges St-Pierre on the card of course, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens on Aug. 25 in his fight against Josh Koscheck at UFC 74.”
“Once the NHL releases their 2007/08 hockey schedule, we’ll be able to sure up a date. I realize TKO 30 is happening in the Bell Centre on Sept. 28, so we’ll try not to go too close to that,” elaborated Ratner.
The NHL schedule is due to be released on July 11, 2007 so hopefully Canadian MMA fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear official confirmation of the UFC’s first show north of the border! Read the rest @ ->

I am glad to see that the UFC is coming north. Now it has to start too come west and put on shows in Vancover, Calgary and Edmonton. And for those saskabushers, Toontown. The Ufc could do a year straight in Canada, but we all know that will not happen. My best guess would be mid 2008 for UFC to come out west. Either way I may have to make the drive out to Montreal if the card is good enough to spend the money, but by the looks of the next few cards, we are in for a good show everytime.

I may have to make the trip over to montreal from Jersey. I really want to see at ufc live and they havent come to the east coast in a while. Although i saw the rumors of coming to The meadowlands.
