I can see between 74 and 75, but not between 73 and 74. With TUF just ending, they need to give the Spike folks a break on the free fights.

Yeah, there's such a loooong gap, 50 days between the 2 UFC events and there's been no hint of a Fight Night being announced, and as we all know, Pride is still off the radar

How do you think the folks on the site would react to testing the waters with an event from another org? WEC has an event coming up August 5th with a few notable fighters (Paulo Filho vs Joe Doerksen and Carlos Condit vs Brock Larson for the WEC WW belt) among others. Just a thought... putting it out there...

i would like to add wec but i think alot of ppl in my fight camp have no clue wh alot of the fighters are in the wec. and i think if ppl don't know the fighterws then it will turn them off of making picks for the event. i think we should wait til season 3 to bring it in if there is no pride still so more ppl know of it and are watching it.

you only got 2 weeks from 74 to 75. and they got a fightnight for not long after 75. so i don;t see why they would do that.

WEC sounds good, anything sounds good between that gap.

Yeah, this would be a chance for us to do something while we wait for 74. I'd be way up to doing that. I don't know if i'd risk any money, but i'd be up to predicting.

I would say the opposite... allow the betting but don't have predictions count. That way, if people only know the main fighters they can put their money there. I definately don't want to be stuck on the FightFinder all night trying to pick between two obscure fighters with 4-1 records. But if you don't make predictions for the entire card you throw away the opportunity for points... so I say go with an event during the layoff but just allow betting....my 2 cents.

I'm personally not keen, too many guys I don't know and can't get footage of. It is a definite advantage for people in the US who have better access to WEC footage than those of us from other countries. The UFC & Pride are different because they are so big and footage is easily available worldwide.

I think they should have a fight night at the end of July, and the main event should be Mike Swick vs. Martin Kampmann, which is a very interesting match-up.

Swick vs. Kampmann as a main event? Come on, thats not even good enough for a UFN main event. I'm perfectly fine with waiting until UFN 11 for Swick vs. Leben II. That fight is WAY more appealing then Swick vs. Kampmann.
