I'm glad that Caol Uno is back in the UFC now been too long for Uno he's a great fighter.

There's going to be a few beatdowns (Lytle - Hughes) and some ? fights (MacDonald - Franklin and also Uno - Stevenson) so this is going to be a good card to see who the next upcoming contenders are going to be.

Yay Fitch and Kampmann are back!
Fitch will win without much problem and hopefully my fellow scandinavian Kampmann will do the same.

Btw. What happened to Babalu - Lambert? Fell through?

I am unbelievably stoked for this Pay Per View. Firstly, I will be live and IN ATTENDANCE in Columbus! Hell yeah, so stoked. Will be my first MMA event live. Plus the added fact that I get to see TWO fighters from my hometown in Rich Franklin and Matt Hammill. PLUS I get to see a living legend in Randy Couture and he is fighting for the heavyweight title! Unreal card lined up, some of the best names in the UFC. I would say on paper that this card is one of the best so far for UFC.

As for the fights, I think one of the most interesting fights on the card HAS to be Franklin v. McDonald. This will be a serious test for Franklin on his road back to Anderson Silva. And it's a great opportunity for McDonald to blow up to the next level of UFC popularity. Very interesting dynamic, but deff. rooting for Franklin.

Being new to THIS forum, I am going to go out on a limb and make what may be a very odd and UNPOPULAR prediction for this fight.

I have been an MMA fan forever...literall saw UFC 1 live...and yes I am an old guy...36.

I hate to say this, since Couture is one of my all time favorite fighters...but Tim is probably going to beat him. Don't get me wrong, I dont want it to happen, quite the opposite. I just se Tim coming with the same gamplan he had with Monson. Another boring 5 round snoozefest. If I was Tim, that would be my plan against Couture, it aint pretty, but he keeps the belt.

The only saving grace in it not being a snoozer, is the fact that Tim is the most hated MMA fighter I can think of with his "fight to not lose" mentality. Maybe he will throw down with Randy....and there in lies the problem...Tim is better standing with his ridiculous reach advantage against a 43 year old wrestling god and GNP specialist.

I know...I hate it as much as you do, but its true.

This is a very interesting PPV with many interesting bouts. The return of Hughes, Franklin, Babalu, and Couture from losesin championship bouts and many other great fighters who are quickly making names for themselves in their respected divisions.

I see a lot of entertaining fights here. I think they have to give Swick Okami because their both on winning streaks (granted Okami's is far shorter and not quite as impressive) while Frnaklin is just coming off a loss. I think it would make more sense and would come off as a great bout if Swick and Franklin both win and then fight each other. These four guys are kind of in must win situations here and a win could secure a title fight next for either one of them.

Uno and Stevenson should be hot - been a while since I have seen Uno in a fight. I hope that Franklin can bounce back against the Athlete - I basically don't like McDonald just cause of his nickname - Franklin is usually good for an exciting bout so I hope he builds himself back and then brings it to Anderson Silva a little bit tougher the next go-around

I afraid the UFC marketing technique is working on me. So many big names....I.. I gotta watch this event despite the one sided matches.

any idea who Assuerio Silva is fighting? I'd like to see Kongo back or Gonzaga again.

Might be Gonzaga. Kongo is likely going to be next for CC.

I agree with you on that one. Especially coming to Ohio for an event it's nice to be able and see alot of the big name fighters on this card. I am looking forward to seeing this card live.

I'm excited for Kampmann fighting, if he continues to steadily improve he could be a force.

Fitch and Luigi should be a hell of a fight and as much as I enjoyed watching Uno I really think Matt is just to physical for him at this point in his career. All in all a great card. So far 2007 has been excellent for MMA as far as matchmaking.

Yeah, Kampmann really impressed me in his last fight, the guy he fought was suppose to be an up and commer. This is gonna be such a war with McFeddries. I dont know if its even possible to knock that guy out.
