FROM UFCJUNKIE.COM
The David Heath vs. Renato “Babalu” Sobral fight that UFCjunkie.com (www.ufcjunkie.com) first reported earlier today will take place Aug. 25 at UFC 74.
When we first learned the deal had been inked this morning, we didn’t know which upcoming event it had been scheduled for. However, we heard from Heath this afternoon, and he confirmed that the light-heavyweight bout will take place at UFC 74, which is set for the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
The fight further strengthens a solid lineup. Although next weekend’s UFC 73 card officially has been dubbed “Stacked,” UFC 74 is shaping up to be nearly as impressive.
The main event features UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture vs. rising contender Gabriel Gonzaga. The UFC has also confirmed that former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will battle Josh Koscheck in a fight that guarantees the winner a title shot in 2008. Additionally, The Ultimate Fighter 3 middleweight winner Kendall Grove will take on UFC veteran Patrick Cote that night.
That card is now WAY better than 73 IMO

Its kinda hard to have a worse card thatn 73 IMO. I am sure when we find out the buyrates on it, we will see a serious dip in the sales of it because of the weakness of that card.

UFC 73, 74 and 75 all look great and it looks like Tim Sylvia might be relegated to the prelims at UFC 74

WHAT????? if you were talking about 72 i could see it but these next couple of cards look great to me, im thinking youre confusing it with the last one, and if not we need to get you into rehab
and on the subject, im hoping babalu gets back on the winning side of things, if not i wouldnt expect to see him in the ufc again for awhile because his contract is up and a 3 fight losing streak=being shown the door(at least temporarily until he strings a few wins in a row). heath is a tough guy though so he has a shot here, should be a great night of fights.

Yea cowcatcher is right 73 is gonna be amazing the fights on that card could go either way in so many different ways so its definetly gonna be an exciting card im extremely hyped for it. 72 was very disappointing tho. It had two fights on it and thats about it. And one was Forrest getting a fight so he can get back to his winning ways so yea 72 ...73, 74, 75 all looking like

Babalu was over anxious in his last two fights, if he comes in relaxed and focused i think he will beat Heath, should be a good fight since their both coming off losses though.

Babalu should take this one, that is if he doesnt...
.Underestimate his opponent. Exactly what happened with Lambert.
.Doesnt fight stupid and sloppy. As we saw against Liddell.
.Forget what this fight is riding on. If he loses this his days in the UFC are over and will permanently damage his career for a long time and is something no one can ever forget.
He has all the tools to take this, he just needs to stay relaxed and composed... With that being said, my boy Babalu takes this one by Submission or a hard fought and intense Decision with Heath.

That's cool. i look forward to watching him fight. that is if it makes the air. Babulu is fun to watch and an excellent fighter. Funny to think how just a few months ago he was a title contender and now he may be a dark match.

Babalu will certainly be able to impose himself on Heath and I predict will get a submission late rd. 2/ early rd. 3.
