Cote is a tough kid, ppl are just giving him shit for ahving a shitty fight against scott smith. He's way more exciting than that, he had a great fight with Leben, He's a tough kid, he will do better than everyone thinks.

Cote is a good fighter that has taken many tough fights in th UFC. This should be a good fight. I am interested in seeing how much Grove has continued to progress.

am i the only 1 that thinks that cote is a skilled fighter but keeps being used as can?
He's got skills, but not enough to hang with the big guys. Certainly, I can see him putting up a fight against Kendal, though I lean towards Kendal for the win.

This whole 'reach advantage' argument in favour of grove is weird. Seeing that he has admitted in various interviews that he doesn't know how to and hasn't yet been able to effectively implement his reach. Plus he's not that lanky in his arms. Ed Herman had the reach advantage in the TUF 3 finale. Weird isn't it?
I think a better argument would be that he's fought better stand up fighters already, first one that pops into mind is Alan Belcher (and Belcher is a very techincally capable stand up fighter) where Kendall put together a submission victory. If Cote gets taken down it's ending with a submission for Kendall.
BUT, here's the deal. Who's seen the fight between Hector Ramirez and Grove? Kendall got KTFO in that fight and Cote is similar in style and stature to Ramirez (I understand one is LHW and MW, so don't point that out). So, just by the fact that Kendall got handled in that fight, this may not be as easy as a fight for Grove as some are claiming.

It is good to see that Patrick Cote is back in the UFC. I would have rather had him on the card in Montreal, but just the fact that he is going to be on a UFC card again is awesome for him. He is going to bring Kendall Grove one hell of a fight no matter what happens. Patrick has KO power in his hands and he will catch Kendall and drop him. Kendall will try and prove that he can stand with someone who has ko power and will get tagged.

I think Kendall is probably a much better fighter than when he got knocked out by Ramirez.

Kote will get rocked again, He may have fought tough competition but always comes out on the losing end. He will get beat on and submitted round one. Canada will Celebrate A total domination win by St Pierre and a total Domination loss by KOTE.

Cote is a phenominal fighter.. in canada. I like Cote do not get me wrong, but with the likes of St. Pierre and David "The Crow" he is not even close to being the most popular Canadian star. Cote is a boring fighter, every fight that I have ever seen by Cote has been a snoozefest. I just need to see more from him.

I am happy Cote is getting another shot. He has potential. It's just a question of whether or not we'll see it. He's not that old so he's still has a few years to peak.
I think Cote doesn't get much credit because of his UFC record. He has lost all but one fight in the UFC, yet he dominates at smaller venues (like TKO). He's caught in limbo because he is mostly fighting upper tier fighters in the UFC, but is not really challenged elsewhere.
Also, remember he did choke out the submission specialist Jason MacDonald so don't sign him off yet.

cote is a good boxer thats it kendall is more well rounded and will win the stand up with his size and will end up putting him on the groung and chokeing him out bucause as we have seen cote has no ground game but this is a big step up for kendall and should be a grate fight any ways

Theres no doubt Cote is a tough guy and he may be the harder puncher but all around I believe Kendal to be the better striker Cote will have a sluggers chance and that wont be enough.
