Man...

Ive been a big wrestling fan for a long time... I realize thats its staged, but it entertains me. Today, it was reported that long time fan fav Chris Benoit was found dead in his home, along with his wife and kid... Doesnt look good. Anyways, not sure if anyone even watches, but if you do, you will care about this. I for one, am a sad SOB.

RIP Chris

I was gonna post this, it's horrible. Cant be for sure yet but it's lookin bad. Vince picked the wrong time to work the whole Death angle. He's gotta be feelin shitty right now, like my friend said, if Vince doesnt come out to pay respects tonight theres a pretty good chance it's set up.

nah, its not set up. Anytime its a work, you can find it on wwe.com, but nowhere else. This is getting around, and is posted everywhere. Its not a work.

This is genuinely sad, even if he was a professional wrestler, he was a human like everyone else and its terrible that his has happened.

However, if this is a "work" from the WWE, then that would be just too much.

Exactly. Vince faking a death is far enough.

I agree, I haven't watched wrestling in years. However, I think if the WWF pulled a stunt like this, they should be prosecuted for it. Therefore, I have to believe it's true and a horrible tragedy.

WWE.Com has updated the story.

STAMFORD, Conn., June 25, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment was informed today by authorities in Fayetteville County, Ga., that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son were found dead in their home. Authorities are investigating, but no other details are available at this time.

Instead of its announced programming for tonight on USA Network, WWE will air a three-hour tribute to Chris Benoit.

Chris was beloved among his fellow Superstars, and was a favorite among WWE fans for his unbelievable athleticism and wrestling ability. He always took great pride in his performance, and always showed respect for the business he loved, for his peers and towards his fans. This is a terrible tragedy and an unbearable loss.

WWE extends its sincere condolences and prayers to the Benoit family and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

Additional information on World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. can be found at wwe.com and corporate.wwe.com. For our global activities, go to www.wwe.com/worldwide/.

It was just confirmed on RAW, Vince came out and gave a statement from the empty ring, since Raw was cancelled.
