While Marlon Moraes’ WSOF bantamweight title won’t be on the line when he meets Cody Bollinger in next weekend’s WSOF 13 headliner, the Brazilian considers it a title match and vows to send his opponent the belt with a loss.

“I don’t know how we can make it official, but as far as I’m concerned, this is a title fight,” Moraes told MMAjunkie. “Any time I’m fighting, I’m fighting as a champion, and I’m defending my belt. I don’t know how everyone else will see it, but to me, this is my next title fight. And if Cody wins, I’ll send him my belt. If I’m going to be the champion, I have to beat everyone I fight.”

Exactly. This is why I'm glad they kept the championship on the line between Dillashaw and Soto.

The issue here is Cody can't make 135 consistently so it can't be a title fight. Can't have a champ who can't make the weight class.

If you insist on a title fight insist on fighting someone who'll make 135.
