Hi there:

My name is Jim and I live in South Florida. I've been a pretty serious MMA fan for nearly ten years. I post on a few MMA forums and play some other fantasy MMA games as well. I also like to bet on fights every week including UFC cards and other promotions like Bellator, WSOF and several others. I'm still getting the hang of this site but I put my picks in starting with UFC 177. We'll see how it goes from here!

Looks like you're 6-1 so far. Great start. If you have any questions about the site feel free to ask.

Hey Jim, welcome to the Playground. Well done on your first event. It's unfortunate your first event was such a disaster with the last minute injuries.

The open forums are great, but if you're looking for in depth fight analysis discussions I'd suggest trying to join a fight camp. You wont get all you can from the site unless you join a camp.

That's one of the puzzling things about the site- the Fight Camps. I don't understand the purpose of dividing up the membership or discussions into arbitrarily selected sub-groups. Maybe there is something more to it that I am not understanding?

Welcome to the PG buddy. And nice start to your 1st event, 6-1. That was a tough event.

I see you like wagering as well. There is a betting section for both the UFC league and The Best Of The Rest League.

Since you like the other promotions as well you should try the Best Of The Rest League. This weekend combo is the best of Bellator 123 and Invicta 8. That league covers a lot of different orgs such as; Bellator, WSOF, Titan, AXS TV fights (RFA, Legacy, MFC,etc,), Invicta, Cage Warriors and that's just to name a few.

Hope you stick around and good luck. Also be sure to check out the side game section. This is the beginning of a new season and the side games are a nice twist to the game. It also helps when you are unsure of a fight. And fight camps are a big help to that as well.

Hope to see ya around.

It's much more private. You're able to be in a group specifically with people you want to talk to on a regular basis. The same forum rules don't apply either. You don't have to bite your tongue as much. It's also adds a little to the competition aspect of the site. Instead of just competing for yourself you also compete against different teams.
