Fabricio Werdum‘s performance at UFC 143 against Roy Nelson was an impressive, and to some, unexpected, turn that launched a win streak leading to his November title shot against champ Cain Velasquez.

Since then, Nelson’s popularity has grown by leaps and bounds as he’s earned a 4-2 record with four knockouts. And yet, there’s been one thing lacking for “Big Country”: a title shot.

After werdum there is absolutely no challengers right now

If werdum wins either Velasquez fights him again
Or jds does.

Either way we are looking at re matches.

If Cain beats werdum

I honestly think at this moment with no contenders
Besides Dos Santos.

Wouldn't be surprised to see ufc sign Fedor
For a instant title shot

Gino Carono getting an immediate title shots with no fighting in 5 years.

Roy Nelson wanting a title shot if Werdum wins

What is next?

Haha yeah, I'm not sure but Nelson got his ass beat by Werdum, so I'm not too sure anyone wants to see that again. As far as challengers are concerned, Stipe is up there, I wouldn't be surprised to see him fighting for the title with another win, same with Travis Browne.

Just Roy being Roy. Werdum beat him almost as badly as JDS did. The days of a realistic Roy Nelson title shot are long gone.
