Ya, I've never seen someone pass out from a choke that was that loose. And he did it within 5 seconds. To me it looked like he wanted out.

I think Pendred got a little more leeway from the ref than Donovan did.

Similar positions but the ref didn't look like he was even considering stopping it with the hometown boy on the losing end.



I don't think that he was in as bad a spot as Donovan but it was very close.



I thought the positions were identical, just Donovan thought he could ride out the last 10 seconds of the round without doing anything to improve his position and Pendred was at least trying to avoid Kings onslaught.

I've got no problem with the Krylov stoppage, and I don't really have a problem with the non-stoppage in the King Pendred fight.

I just thought it was plainly obvious by looking at the referee that the threshold for stopping a fight is completely different for the hometown fighters than it is for everyone else.
