I think the next big upset will be Werdum over Cain. I think Werdum will be able to pull off a sub at somepoint on the ground, when Cain isnt protecting himself during some ground work.

What do you guys think the next big upset will be?

Very possible but AKA has always been known for good submission defense.

I think mendes upsets Aldo...I don't want him to but I gotta feeling...also no way on werdum over Cain. I know anything can happen but I got Cain as a lock 4 any fight in the foreseeable hw future.

I think Mendes over Aldo as well. Pretty stoked about that fight tbh.
Also, I don't know how much of an upset it would be but I think this Rin Nakai chick could beat Tate in their fight over in Japan. Just kind of a gut feeling.

Werdum vs Cain is very interesting, can't wait to see what gameplan Cain comes with.

I still think Cain takes it though. Do you guys remember how gassed Browne was and werdum still couldn't finish. If that was Cain, he would have taken him down and pounded him out within 3 rounds. As good as werdum is, it's still going to be the same problem for him and all other heavyweights that have faced Cain.... His pace is too much to handle.

Werdum wasnt even trying to take Browne down, as he was winning on the feet the whole fight. Werdum if i recall looked good cardio wise the entire fight also.
If Cain over looks Werdum he is in trouble.

Cormier beats Jones

I think cormier will take Jones down with ease and completely dominate and smother him in rounds 1-3....

In rounds 4-5 it will get tricky, DC will be tired and wont take jones down so easily, Jones will finish strong but it will not be enough

For a guy who subbed out
Fedor and big nog

No doubt he could sub Cain.

Cain hasn't been in one single submission ever in the ufc
So it's not like we know how good his defense is
If werdum slaps something on. I think it's over

Yeah werdum looked good no doubt, And he poses Some problems to Cain. But every fight Cain has won has been basically the same. His pace just breaks guys... His offence on the ground forces guys to basically just defend let alone even attempt a sub. Av bet joe ?

I think Werdum can beat Cain also. That's why I think Dos Santos will be champ again by the end of next year as long as he can get 2 wins by next summer.

I think Diego will beat McCregor. Which isn't a massive upset but McCregor has a lot of hype and is cocky whereas Brandao is scrappy.

I think Rothwell will knock Overeem out unless he wrestles. It will either look like Overeem vs Sergei 1 or 2.

I think Barao will avenge his loss to Dillashaw which might disappoint people but I really believe he took Dilly lightly.

Gil over Pettis, although won't be a huge upset, but Gil will be the underdog

I think the next upset will be when someone beats Rousey. Seems like we are all talking about title holders here.

Cain isn't losing to Werdum IMO

Jones isn't going to lose either IMO and even if he does it wouldn't be much of an upset per se as some view Gus as winning the first fight

Weidman isn't losing anytime soon IMO

I could go on but I'm feeling lazy

Rousey is undefeated so she has the most to lose. Her being champion adds to that. So yeah, when she loses it will be a big deal just like it was when Anderson lost to Weidman

I think Rousey would be one of the last Champions as of now, to lose, her skill set is just so well above the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranked fighters in the division.

As far as champions go, most likely to lose in the near future looks like this for me today:

Pettis - Most Likely
Dillashaw
Hendricks
Jones
Johnson
Aldo
Weidman
Rousey
Cain - Least Likely

Cannot comment on how big of an upset their losses would be. Melendes beating Pettis won't be an upset, Dillashaw losing to anyone won't turn heads. Same for Hendricks. It won't be a big surprise to see DC or Gus defeat Jones. Aldo, Weidman and Johnson losing to any opponent would be an upset though they are all beatable. Cain and Rousey losing anytime soon would be monumental upsets of significance.
