I'm not asking you to predict who Joe Silva is going to select as his next opponent. I'm not asking who you think has earned the next title shot or who deserves the next shot.

I am asking you to tell me who you personally would like to see fight Weidman next at MW. Doesn't have to be for anything other than your own personal amusement.

I listed Belfort, Mousasi, Jacare, Rockhold & Kennedy bc I wanted to list 5 options without listing anyone he has fought before. I left off Hendo, but he is a MW at times so feel free to vote other if he is your choice.

I specifically said MW bc if anyone wants to say Jon Jones or GSP, we can save that for another poll

edit: i wish i could edit the wording on the poll but it's too late. oh well.

I'd rather see Weidman take on Luke Rockhold than face Vitor on his Jesus supplement alone instead of the potent Vitor on Jesus/TRT combo. Time to sadly see the aging/damaged-by previous-roid-use shell of the Top 3 MW known as TRVitor, as his second personality being fringe Top 10 MW Non-TRVitor has to rid his system of (imo) the reason his other self got them* (*him) this opportunity in the first place.

I picked Jacare.

I think Vitor will get the shot, and does deserve the shot. I would like to see this one in the US, preferably Nevada, with some stringent testing.

However, style wise and just for kicks, I picked Jacare. Perhaps I should have picked Rockhold, as he does have a win over Jacare, but nonetheless, he is undefeated since entering the UFC. He has the striking that has come along well, and the crazy ground skills, so like the champion he is good everywhere.

I would like to see rockhold fight Weidman and that is who I picked but I do believe Belfort deserves the shot.

I still think jacare doesn't have the gas tank to handle Weidman and I'm not completely sold on his stand up just yet.

Belfort deserves the shot for sure but I don't think he beats Weidman, as soon as his opponents start getting the better of him he usually wilts, but don't get me wrong, he is the most dangerous guy at mw early on no exceptions.

Rockhold has great stand up and range, awesome ground game and a gas tank to boot. I think he would give Weidman a really tough time everywhere.

I don't think Kennedy has anything to offer Weidman. I see him as the bottom of the top guys here.

I'd rank the guys in order in which i think have the greatest chance at beating Weidman as follows.

1. Tied rockhold & Belfort
2. Mousasi
3. Jacare
4. I would have Yoel Romero above Kennedy. His takedowns are scary good and his stand up was good against tavares.

I went jacare bc im a fan & would like to see where he stands, especially in the striking dept. I would be worried about his gas tank though in the championship rounds.. After that, is a tie for belfort & rockhold.

It has to be Vitor Belfort.

Now is the time for him, Vitor is only going to go downhill moving forward, so lets see this fight happen next. Vitor vs Weidman.

I picked Jacare. I think he has the best chance to beat Weidman unless Belfort can still fight at that high level without TRT.

Jacare can match his athleticism, strength and is probably faster. His striking has improved leaps and bounds as well as Weidman. I think they are a complete mirror of each other except Jacare has the best judo in MMA, while Weidman's a wrestler, but both have crazy BJJ.

This has fight of the year written all over it and i think Jacare beats him!

Weidman has handled two of the most lethal strikers back to back to back. I don't think it matters who is next. I think they will all get their turn and all will fail. Much like most thought about Anderson I think it will take an elite wrestler with good hands to take Weidman"s title. Problem is I don't think anyone in the top ten right now can take Weidman down and keep him there.

Maybe Dana could say sorry to Askren and have him beef up to MW
