Dan Henderson may eventually return to the middleweight division, but the UFC light heavyweight said it’s not a done deal.

I don't like the idea of him staying at LHW. I don't know if he can compete with the top 10 there anymore. Here is the current top ten based on UFC rankings:

Champion : Jon Jones
1 Alexander Gustafsson
2 Daniel Cormier
3 Rashad Evans
4 Glover Teixeira
5 Anthony Johnson
6 Phil Davis
7 Dan Henderson
8 Ryan Bader
9 Mauricio Rua
10 Ovince Saint Preux

Sure he is sitting at 7, but I find it kind of hard to see him getting above that. Going from the top 5 down, I don't see him beating Gus, we already saw how he did against Cormier, the fight with Rashad was a snoozer as I recall, and Rashad has seemingly been on his way downhill as well. I think a fight with Glover might be competitive and either could win, but I'd lean more heavily toward Glover. I got Rumble over Hendo. If Davis could consistently plant him on his butt I got Davis. If you throw Jones in there, I see Jones winning by one sided beat down. I just don't see Hendo fairing well at LHW anymore.

At least at MW he'd be competitive with many of the top 10 guys.
