Bantamweight Thomas Almeida (17-0) now boasts in incredible 15 first-round finishes following a stunning TKO of Caio Machado (4-1) to claim Legacy FC’s vacant bantamweight belt.

You know I geniunely thought it'd be a case of a padded record. I think it's just a case of only being able to beat who he's been put in front of. There's a few easy fights here and there and yeah for a 16-0 fighter he should be facing some named fighters.

I feel quite guilty on naturally being negative and assuming padded... My bad

That may be true but he is finishing which is what you look for in a prospect. All prospects have padded records or "easy" fights its how they do against them. A lot of decisions you might think twice about the guy, but 15 first round finishes is still very good regardless

His record isn't terrible and honestly in pro MMA these days to go undefeated and win 17 times without losing once is extremely tough to do, no matter what the competition is. Granted it's easier with lesser comp...but 17-0 is a healthy looking record. Props to Almeida.
