When it comes to PPV buy rates we never really get disclosed true and accurate figures. However the one reliable and lone source for UFC pay-per-view figures has and always will be, Mr. Dave Meltzer.

I believe it. Not a lot care for Barao or even the 135 weight class besides Faber. Maybe now that they have TJ they'll do more promoting.

...Or just lower the price of PPVs...

Ufc fault.

They could easily stack the cards.
Or lower ppv price back to like 39.99

This truly is a dark age we are approaching.
I think by year end ufc turns this around

I haven't watched a PPV in forever now. Too damn many and too many fighters i've never heard of,and though I may get heat over this I almost feel like the UFC is doing too much with the lighter weight divisions.

Over saturation and people are just not going to buy a ppv with a smaller fighter as the Main Event

Too many events, too expensive, watered down talent on cards are all big factors in their dwindling PPV sales.

I think another thing that has hurt them is their creation of fight pass. When they started charging for what was usually free Pre-lims, people starting looking for alternate ways to watch them and many probably found illegal streams they wouldn't have otherwise used.

When the PPV starts for free right after the prelims I doubt many are switching back to TV to shell out 60 bucks.

Every card has like 2 good fights, cards ate like every week sometimes TWICE A DAY!

Do 1 ppv a month and stack it and watch those buys skyrocket.

True, True and True

I used to watch 60-70% of PPV. Now that there are so many coupled with fewer fights I wanna see makes me not wanna spend $55-$60 bucks ever 2/4 weeks. I usually watch the free fights on TV and maybe 1-2 PPV cards. Those that I due by are either A) Filled with fights I've wanted to see for awhile B) Fights that have so much hype that I have to see it live.

As far as the free Perkins, I'll watch those but like Flash said...I'm not paying PPV prices for 5 fights that I'm not excited to see in the first place.

If we're all gunna rant...

They should sign Alvarez, Funky Ben and Chandler. Ditch TUF bc it's awful. Stop trying to build talent from within and rather pouch the best from other organizations. Cut back on foreign cards, playing on off hours and cut the shit with overpriced, watered down, PPVs every other week.

If you think 173 did poorly, wait until the numbers on 174 come back... No such thing as a must see PPV anymore. It wasn't even that long ago the 5 fight main cards were very solid. Now the main cards are main event driven, with usually a co-main event that used to be a PPV opening fight. The rest is patchwork garbage.

Now they have all these dogshit cards, headlined with fights that woud have usually slid into the PPV card prelims or opening fights on a PPV card... Like the upcoming trainwreck doubleheader. This model leaves those who purchase the PPV, buying an inferior product and I think people are starting to realize it.

No such thing as a must see PPV anymore. UFC PPV cards used to be an event, you and friends would set aside the Saturday night for... Now its slide into a pub for a drink and watch maybe the co-main and main events.

The big, bad International Fight Week UFC 175 card sucks too...

Maybe the UFC will either stack the cards or lower the prices after they see the entire year of PPVs have been mainly 200-300k buys.

Even their fourth of july card (175) isn't even stacked! Marcus Brimage is on the PPV for god's sake!
