Jon Jones joined Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour tonight to talk about his upcoming fight with Alexander Gustafsson, and why he is refusing to fight in Gustafsson’s native country of Sweden.

Even though I agree that challengers shouldn't get title fights in their backyards, I'm sick of Jones coming up with excuses to put off this fight.

Whether its in Toronto, Las Vegas or on the moon, just sign the agreement and lets see this rematch.

Strip him of the belt and set up Gus vs. Cormier in Sweden for the vacant title.

Come on guys, Jones would be a complete idiot to accept the fight in Sweden. After what just happened to Ross Pearson..... If Gus wins then Jones has to say yes to Sweden in the automatic immediate rematch; the way thing are done in the UFC right now.

Normally I'd agree about challengers not fighting in their backyards, butthe way the first fight went makes me think fuck it, just fight.

I agree with Jones here. International fights can put the traveling fighter at a huge disadvantage. Whether it's the special brand of judging that the home court brings in or just the jet lag and inability to recenter yourself before the fight, the visitor is put in a bad situation. There's no way the champ should be inconvenienced here but everyone's okay with it because Jones is a bag.

I'm over jon jones. Wasted talent. He had time to be the greatest star that ever shone in the UFC and instead eye pokes and whines about fights.

Ducked Lyoto, Ducked Mr Wonderful... Cant Duck DC and Gus.

Me personally, I think that as a fighter, and especially as a champ, you just do what you're told and take any fight that is presented to you no matter where it is at. As a champ, your job is to prove you are the best in the world at your weight class, and you don't do that by picking and choosing who you fight and when and where it happens. Take a fight in your opponents backyard and beat him there. Prove you're the best no matter where it happens.

Jones has turned full heal and I love it. I feel like he's finally embracing the inner asshole we all know him to be. I kind of like the fact our LHW champ is a monstrously sized man that pokes people in the eye, kicks people on their knees, and calls kids homophobic slurs on IG.

Am I the only one who likes the bad guy, Jon Jones?

Man a real fighter wouldn't care who they fight or where it takes place..it's all bout the bushido heart..enough of this bitching from Jones..that's all I been hearing from him..bitching bout the fans, fights and what not..man the fuck up and do what u get paid to do, do dirt and put in work..can't wait for him to face Gus / DC..if I was Dana I would just force him to do it like how many of our bosses does it to us..it's ur job and ppl pay money to support ur job..this kid already had to cancel a PPV event..in the end Jones prolly will become the most hated fighter out there, even over Ronda..at least Ronda acts and says what she means and sticks to her personality..fake ass Jones, man up lil boy..

It's rather disrespectful to Jones and it undermines the title, however, this is not the real reason why Jones is pulling this stunt. He simply wants to delay this fight for as long as possible. I believe we won't see this fight until 2015 when Jones runs out of excuses.

There's no way Jones should have to fight a challenger in the challeger's backyard. No way in hell.
