VANCOUVER – Despite repeated advertisements on FOX Sports 1 stating “critics agree it’s the best season yet,” UFC President Dana White is not all that pleased with the current installment of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show.

It's bad but it's not worse than season 16. The only solid fighter to come out of that season was Neil Magny. So far, I've been impressed with Dhiego Lima and Patrick Walsh but that's about it. Personally, I'm already looking forward to TUF 20 with the straweights.

Good promoting, I'm sure Fox is pleased with the praise for the show running on their channel.

If he says the season is good everyone calls him a liar, if he says it's bad (which it is) folks call him an idiot. I'm starting to think people don't like Mr. White anymore.

I think the TUF guys know the deal by now and they use the judging to their advantage. I say go 3 rounds straight and yellow card them for no action. The guys know that even if they don't win they have a shot to fight on the finale and get other fights thereafter so why go hard to win. Change it up to go with the times.

It's pretty ridiculous watching dana vent on this show. These guys are there to be winners, by WINNING and it's not good enough for white. He is the king of all noobs.

That's not always the case. For example, after TUF 16 the only guys given a chance after the finale were the finalists and the semi-finalists. The rest weren't invited back immediately due to their poor performances. It all comes down to how they perform on the show.

I think we all agree it's time for another comeback season Instead of title shot. Winner gets number one contender match.

They could start looking for talent instead of personalities

Season 16 was the worst, but this one is a close second. Only watching because I like Lima.
They need to do a Flyweight season. At least when the fights go to a decision, it'll be fast paced and full of cardio unlike this season.

They have cast their net too many fucking times in the same talent pools. Featherweights, Bantamweights and Flyweights have been in the UFC for years now. TJ Dillashaw was the runner up for the first season to feature Bantamweights, and he is now the champion. I say try doing some new weight classes.
Season 20 should be fantastic. New weight class. There is a title on the line. That is the entire world in motivation, at least it should be.

Couldn't agree more, especially with all the talent there is in the lower weight classes. The fact that they keep doing, LHW, MW and WW shows is obviously telling, but as you said the lighter weights obviously need more promoting. FW, BW, FTW should all be looked at for new competition. The show is getting stale because the fighters aren't any good.
This definitely wasn't the worst season though, the worst season is the one with the guy who "just wants to bang, bro".

It is without doubt a very poor season with little action in the cage or the house. The trouble for Dana is he has made it known for years he likes finishes,he hates lay and pray and even gives bonuses for a finish in the shows. That's whats probably pissing him off more than anything that they are not trying for a finish but looking for a safe victory
