i hate when a lay n pray fighter gets call out by Dana for being boring or such and in fact it should be the guy that has ZERO takedown defense and ZERO wrestling that should get call out for being unable to get control in the fight.

I couldn't agree more. Dana is the worst type of fan and he runs the damn company. I hate hearing him open his mouth on any tuf episode but this was by far the worst. Roger lost that fight hands down. It shouldn't have even went to the 3rd round. And to say Roger got his justice and should have won the fight is just plain wrong. I'm pissed I invested any time into this season so far.

What I think about Dana in these situations?

That was a rough one. So much stuff just should not have happened in the fight. I had a feeling this would be like TUF 16 and Stephens was like a Colton Smith clone lol but I guess he won't be winning this season even though he clearly won that fight.
I also have to agree with how it's a bit ridiculous how Dana criticizes him. I bet he won't even get a second chance on the finale since Dana hated his style so much.

If two judges scored it 9-9 and one 10-8 shouldn't it be a majority decision so the result should be a draw right ?

I personally thought the way both guys fought was annoying but the guy who had the back should have won. He had the back for ages and the other guy could not escape simple as that, it was a stretch to even go the 3rd in my opinion.

Did a double take. At first glance, thought it said Stephens vs Zabka.

No draws allowed in tuf so they simply asked the judges who they thought should win the fight and even the guy that gave the 3rd round to Ian picked Roger.

Finally saw the episode last night.
Glad Stephens lost. Ufc doesn't need another colton Smith in the ufc

I agree about Dana needing to keep his nose out of the regulation side of it. I remember in the episode before this one the ref stood the fighters up, and you can clearly hear Dana: "Good job ref".

However, I hate seeing the 12-6 elbows being called in boarderline situations. I fully believe the rule should be nixed all together. But if it's gonna be inforced, it should only be in situations like Jones/Hammill. Where the guy is lifting his arm up and bringing it straight down, brick breaking style in karate demonstrations or whatever in the hell they're called.

That confused me. If one judge scored it Ian, and they go around and ask the circle who they thought won. Shouldn't he have circled Ian? Unless they said "Imagine you are a PRIDE judge" who do you think won?

This season has been poor full stop, surely there cannot be too many more dull fights. It was a poor episode for MMA on the whole in my opinion,Poor refereeing, poor judging,a poor fight and a poor involvement form the head of the major promotion. This must of been dire to watch and a complete turn off if you are a MMA newbie switching on for the first time
