Frank Shamrock has long been regarded as one of the finest mixed martial artists in the sport's history, with some going so far as to suggest that he is the best to grace a ring or cage.

While that's merely fodder for debate, there is one thing most people now agree on when it comes to the former UFC champion: Shamrock has painted himself into a corner as far as his legacy is concerned.

Interesting article.It's true that it is a bit of a "no win" situation for Shamrock, in that winning provides him with a victory over an "unworthy" opponent and a loss would damage his already faded reputation....

I lost a lot of respect for Shamrock after is DQ to Renzo. He acted like he had no idea knees to the head were illegal and that grappling was not real fighting. He must have forgotten this since his days in the UFC.
