Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, fought for three-minutes last weekend on “BIG” FOX.
By the time he left the cage victorious, he was already campaigning for his next opponent. Anyone, anyplace, anytime, and he meant it.
Yesterday we learned that Vagner Rocha backed out of his lightweight bout against Joe Ellenberger. With only three-days left before fight night, the UFC opted to remove the bout entirely, delaying the debut of, top UFC welterweight, Jake Ellenberger’s twin brother

And this is why Cowboy is one of my favorite fighters. That and his always highly entertaining fights in both the WEC and now UFC.

Love Cowboy! But Joe wouldn't take the fight against such a highly ranked fighter on such short notice. Would be amazing though if he did accept, he'd get a lot of respect.

Cowboy is in massive trouble with the IRS and won't be clear for another five fights, and needs them fast.

I agree with most of you, I doubt ellenberger would have taken the fight and I wouldn't blame him. Rocha is a good debut fight, cerrone is not. Gotta love cerrone for stepping up though.

Link? Five fights sounds pretty extreme, especially at the payout he's landed in the past
