Former UFC light heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell added to his bold statements earlier this week by claiming that he would have knocked out Jon Jones in his prime.

Dunno about that. Jones would use his range and take Chuck down if Chuck ever tried to close the distance and win a decision. Chuck would probably catch him here and there with some punches, but I think Jones can handle a few of them since he ate punches from Gus, Machida, and Evans. Would be a fun fight to watch though.

It would be a horrible match-up for Liddell. He lived for the counter punch, and would never get it with Jones. Would play out similar to Jones vs Rampage or Evans......or Texeira.

When Chuck was in his prime, JJ was probably in high school. So that would be a horrible match up.

MMA fans suffer from memory loss. Its a pandemic.

We disrespect our legends more than any other sport.

I think Prime Chuck would do amazing against Jones. In fact, I'd for sure pick Chuck. Jones wouldn't be able to get him down or keep him down. Jones wouldn't be able to strike with him (It would be like his fight with Machida but a guy with more knock out power.)

I think Chuck knocks him out inside of 2 rnds.
